LG Q6 User, 21 Jan 20198.1 update came. And this would be the last update for this... moreImagine bashing lg. Couldn't be me. I got a 2019 patch on android Oreo and who knows maybe it will get android pie. There hasn't been talk about the android pie update on lg g6, v30, v40, etc except the lg q6. You complaining isn't helping no one

8.1 update came. And this would be the last update for this phone. No Oct/Nov/Dec 2018 security updates. No talk about Android Pie update. LG is the worst "top-tier" phone manufacturer when it comes to updates.
Just to think that they have this new "Software Update Concentrated" department, and even bragged about it. Never again, LG.
I'll be switching to NOKIA, or Apple, or any other company who really concentrates on Software Updates. You know? "After sales support"?
My advice to ANYONE. If you are looking for a phone of ANY price-point, LG should be your last choice.

The phone supports Camera to API, so you don't need to flash to install G-CAM.
But this will support older APK of G-CAM to be installed on Android Oreo. Search G Cam for LG Q7 and navigate to XDA Developers Website and install it.
You will see a great bit of difference in photos clicked using Google camera.

You will see details of both the SIM cards you are using. You can anytime change to the one you want, by simply dragging down the menu from the top of your phone..:)

I mean it doesnt have a fingerprint sensor and face unlock works doesnt work at night
And my phone doesnt heat up to much even on heavy usage
And the RAM management. Its not that bad i could open 10 apps without them closing. Ant thats the base 3gb RAM model

I am frustrated with this LG Q6+ phone. it's heating up within 5-10 minutes of internet usage. unbearable to operate.
I am regular user, don't have much apps , always use original charger and cable
I bought on end of oct 18. It's previous OS nougat. After I complained this heating issue with in the week, that seller updated to OS Orio. But still this issue is happening
I am more suffering, Anybody advice to resolve this.

LG late update but stable, for fast update xperia, xperia Z got 4.1-5.1 longgest update on android history

LG Q6 user, 06 Nov 20188.1 update came. And this would be the last update for this... more8.1 update came and you're sad ? android 9.0 shouldn't come for a mid-range phone. look at lg G4 got only 1 update from 5.1 to 6 ... you get 2 updates 8 and 8.1!
