BP, 12 Nov 2020Stylus? Mine did not come with one. Was it supposed to? Did you find your stylus? Just push the little square under the bottom and it's spring loaded. Should pop right out!

I'm reading these comments, and can't help but wonder if these electronics manufacturers engage in smear campaigns against LG, or one another.. whatever, what have you. I have owned my LG Stylo 5 (boost) for just under 1 yr. This is the best phone I have ever purchased. The stylus makes navigating the phone a good experience. The precision when typing, scrolling, and clicking is very nice. Having 1080p resolution with the potential for great brightness (if you want it/ choose), adds to that experience as well. Browsing through the landscape of the device, flowing in and out of different pages, loading videos, etc. is quick enough for my purposes (I find it to be fairly fast). Now, LG skin is not my favorite.. but.. I like it. It's simple and a relatively user friendly version of Android. The phone isn't perfect by any means. There are better phones on the market (duh!). But, for the $180.00 I paid for it--- It has and continues to be very good to me.

I do not recommend this phone. It was overrated and it's why i had bought it. But the processing is so slow i have to restart it to work half decent.

problems i have with this phone

                      - purple and red ring on the screen after being in my pocket with something else for 5 minutes

                      - horrible camera compared to a phone i had that was 1/3 of the price of this one

                      - battery degraded too fast, even with battery saver on 24/7 it dies really quickly

                      - got laggy really fast

                      - being on an app for a while burned 3 images into the screen

                      - screen colors are inaccurate

                      - absolutely horrible mic and speakers, they sound like they came out of a 2010 McDonalds toy

                      - taking the back off is possible but voids the warranty, so you have to send the phone to them and pay for them to take the back off for you and a put in a new battery when your battery inevitably degrades to nothing

                      - styluses are $8 base price and break easily

                        -stylus fell out, cant replace
                        -ghost crap taking up memory

This is worst phone I have ever had. The back button almost never works, the home button often doesn't work. It jumps all around, when I first open up never know screen it will be on. It could be an I haven't used since I can't remember. You might say it must be me, but have never had any other phone act this way. It's also very slow. Added SD card, it didn't help, can't move anything to it very easily. It generally sucks!

TL;DR: for it's price point it's overall subpar, even though it's body is soild. It has received timely OS patches, and I did just receive a full OTA update to Android 10.

OS patches were timely and seamless. I don't know if this because of LG or my carrier (I have Xfinity/Comcast).

I wouldn't recommend this phone if you need something with more processing power, it will sometimes respond slowly under heavy useage. The phone can be sluggish under the heavy animations some FPS-sytles games, although it can handle PUBG and War Robots enough unless there loads of fire being drawn on the screen. The built in gaming app does allow for enough tweaking to offset this a bit.

The volume level of both the speaker and the "earpiece" for calls could be louder, but even with a cheap bluetooth or wired headset headset it's more then passable. It has DTS:X that greatly improves this.

Screen brightness could also be better. Screen size is fine.

The phone is very thin and light, but doesn't flex so it's physical construction is good. I've dropped it a few times on tile having butterfingers, but outside of marks on the edges where it impacted it's fine... no cracks.

Camera could also be better, if you don't have a stable hand then you are going to have blurry photos. Flash is alright.

Generally, it could make a decent second phone if you buy it used.

This is by far the worst phone I've ever had in my entire life; even worse than the LG Stylo 4. They just sent me the five to replace the four that obviously broke , and this one went black screen in four months time. And because I just made a claim for the LG they will not replace it with a new one. What's the point in having insurance for a crappy phone if they won't replace it every time it

Had this phone over a year. I love it. The features are great. Camera. Video. Note pad. I've always liked LG but the LG stylo 5 is great. Screen size is huge and clear. If anything happens to this I will replace with another stylo 5.
