I took my chance and got one new LG stylo 6 for my wife and one for myself after reading quite a few reviews complaining about the phone's performance. I made suggested tweaks seen on the internet to enhance both phones performance. Now, my phone works decently and able to do gaming and all tasks. In the other hands, my wife's keeps on freezing all the time and she's about to throw the phone trough the window. I guess is hit or miss until they come up with a better processor.

I am very disappointed in the LG Stylo 6 I purchased it about 3 days again and the keyboard is freezing and wont allow me to exit out of anything because of it freezing. I have looked up how to fix it and there is nothing I can find because what some people suggest the phone doesn't even have that option. I wish I could get my money back for this piece of crap.....

I have no problems calling or searching the web in my basement apartment. You all just cry and cry and cry. It does its job and more

I been scrolling through the reviews and I haven't noticed anyone talking about the random click click sound. Your walking and all you hear is click click. It doesn't happen all the time but it happens enough to annoy the cookies out if me!

I've owned the LG Stylo 2, 4 and now 6. Love this product lineup. It offers everything I'm looking for in a phone and have been steady performers. Those that want to drop $500 to $1000 on a phone to text and play games, only to "upgrade" in 12 to 18 months, feel free to do so. LG products have been an awesome value and any complaints I have with the phones have been with the Android OS with their updates and "enhancements".

I got this phone about 8 months ago. I started having problems with it about 2 months in. I usually keep a phone for about a year in a half before I start having issues with it. This phone will not let me call out, text anyone, it freezes, no one can call me without it going straight to voicemail. I can't even call out using wi-fi. The phone freezes up, glitches the keyboard and rolls the screen when I try to message my family only using Snapchat or IG because only the apps will only work. I plan to get a new phone asap, don't waste your money on something that will crash and cause you issues. Thanks!

I'm coming in to my Stylo 6 after spending 2 years on a Moto g6. My previous phones before that were the Stylo 2 and Stylo 3. I had a string of defective 3's...so I took a break from LG for a while. My moto was also partially defective and just lived with it until I decided to switch carriers. The Stylo 6 was actually one of the two phones that hit my main requirements: headphone jack and microSD. The fact I'd be getting NFC back was a bonus.
So there's one thing that should be stated right off the bat; this is a budget-level phone. This is not a high-end smartphone no matter how much it tries to look the part. It is a $249 (in the US as of Nov 2020) smartphone; and while I can't say I exactly hate mine...it actually feels like just a larger version of a cheaper budget smartphone. It's actually more of a budget phablet.
I'm actually not disappointed with the screen. It's not a 4k UHD spectacular; but it's big and I think it looks decent enough. My moto had a "18:9" aspect ratio (2:1 by the time you do a little thing like simplification), so I was already used to the double-wide/extra-long phones; but it also makes my g6 look and feel as small as the first 3.2" smartphone from 2010. I was anti-notch for a while...but this one isn't bad. I either don't know it's there...or it's all notification icons on each side. It is also very large..I don't know if I mentioned that.
But if you consider the screen specs of this to be "just getting by", then don't get too excited; it doesn't really do anything spectacularly! Cameras? 13MP wide, 5MP ultra-wide, 5MP portrait. The quality probably isn't anything more than what you'd expect from a budget phone. It's not capable of filming 1080p@60fps either. Despite being two years newer...I feel like I gained nothing in the camera department. They're maybe a little sharper than my g6; but it was also a lot sharper out of the box than after 2 years. The ultra-wide angle lens is kind of neat; but I lost both time-lapse and slow-motion. It's not really a win for the LG here.
Performance wise...I'm sure compared to a higher-end phone, this thing is a total cow. It does feel like it lags a lot of time. I spend seconds waiting for apps to load. If it's something you access frequently and it's still running in the background, it's not that horrible. But it does take a noticeable amount of time for things to load. If you're expecting "click and up" performance...this is not your device. Is it much worse than my g6? I mean...a little. Once things are "up and going"; the day-to-day stuff I do with the phone performs the same. It's just those few times I decide to load up a game and it takes 30 seconds while activating "game mode"; or when I click the browser and have to wait 5 seconds for it to come up. I haven't jumped in to the developer options and poked at what optimizations can be made; it hasn't bugged me enough to want to do that....but since I've never owned a flagship device I don't know what good performance is.
The sound on this is really confusing. On one hand...it is actually stereo; on the other...it's an odd arrangement. One speaker facing you, the other on the bottom facing sideways. This is going to make for some really funky stereo. It comes with some DTS "3D" stereo processing...but that is what it is...gimmicky processing to impress people who like "big wide stereo". This is a phone...it's not going to be a high-fidelity speaker. It "gets the job done". Fidelity wise, the Moto with it's single speaker had a better frequency response. But I literally didn't expect or care what the sound is like from the internal speakers. Headphone output...is pretty much as expected. It's not a high-end DAC but it gets the job done. It does seem to have some equalization "built-in"; whether it's some hardware or software I can't tell you...but I actually was very impressed at what I was able to make come out of that thing.
So while it has a really neat stylus that stores in the phone; it's a budget phone so it's literally just a capacitive stylus. There's no pressure detection or anything you might get with a fancy connected stylus. It's just a small metal tube with some capacitive fabric on the end of it. However the end of the stylus that "clicks" in like it's locking the stylus in place is actually not locking the stylus in place; giving you the classic ballpoint pen click fidget.
But despite all that...it still "gets the job done" as far as a $249 device can. The WiFi could do a better job of handing off to another point better...but that could be fixed with software. My WearOS watch has had zero issues syncing with it. GPS actually works inside a vehicle (my moto would not). It's not the fastest LTE chip in the world. We're not breaking any records here with anything...but it "gets the job done". And it large....it is a very large phone.
I'm not happy with it, I'm not un-happy with it. It's a $249 smartphone; what do you expect? At least it has a headphone jack.

I don't work for Apple, I'm just a poor user suffering this POS. Worst phone I've ever owned. I'm not bitching about the weight either. This phone makes everything that was easy in other android, harder. And it glitches, all the time. It goes black and it doesn't revive again till you try whatever tips Youtubers offer and one works (no matter if it charged and you were using it a minute ago, it just dies on you). Then you're texting and it closes the app, you're playing a game and it freezes and you have to close it and restart it. Or it just decides to shut down when you were using it, or maybe even randomly restart.
I never thought I was going to have so many problems with it when it was offered to me.
