Love how this almost 4 year old V series phone has the same type of storage as the V60 and a higher res display, and pretty much exact same camera setup. (like by that I mean, wide, ultrawide)

Dropped my V20 several times on tiled floors around 4-5ft but it always survives without the screen or tempered glass cracking. It has a soft jelly case though that protrudes higher than the screen in addition to tempered glass so that must have cushioned it for drops with screen facing downward.

I shattered my screen after accidentally dropped it from 30-50cm height when on a call. Didn't expect that.

I'd like to clarify that you can only have 10x faster file trasfer from phone with USB 3.1 to PC if your PC also has USB 3.1. If your PC is old and has only USB 2.0 port, file transfer will still be fast but not superfast. Regarding screen sharing, you can still screen share if a phone only has USB 2.0 type C like my Samsung A71 - but not wired, only wireless. The disadvantage of wireless screen sharing is it can occasionally stutter if the bit rate is very high (example: wireless screen sharing a recorded 4K video to a big screen tv or projector). Also, there is reduction of image or video quality. With wired screen sharing using a USB type C to HDMI adapter, there is no stuttering and video quality remains the same high quality as the source. (Wireless screen sharing compresses the video before wirelessly sending
the signal to TV or Projector display).

Rimac , 08 Apr 2020Do you appreciate any kind of inconvenience with the 2.0 ty... moreYes. I really wish all phone manufacturers stop using obsolete USB 2.0 interface. That USB 2.0, even if it has type C terminal, is slower to transfer files from phone to PC and vice-versa. USB 3.1 type C has approximately 10x faster file transfer speed to a PC which also has USB 3.1 port.

Also, USB 2.0 type C doesn't allow VIDEO OUT from the USB port. Therefore, you cannot use USC C to HDMI adapter to view/mirror the phone screen to a large screen TV or Projector if the phone specs say USB 2.0 type C. The phone needs to have USB 3.1 type C.

The exception are Google Pixel phones and Android one phones. In those phones, even if they are stated to have USB 3.1 type C in the hardware specifications, they do not have video out capability.

Google disabled wired video out in ALL PIXEL phones and Android One phones in the software side of things (phones with vanilla/pure android) even if they had USB 3.1 type C hardware because Google is GREEDY. It wants you to use WIFI streaming always and ALWAYS with internet. Google doesn't want storing offline movie files in a large micro sd storage for WIRED video out sharing to a TV screen or projector because it highlights the MAJOR handicap of Pixel phones that don't have micro SD storage expansion. Also, Google makes money from advertising and hardware. Google Pixel phones and Android One phones require you to BUY a Google chromecast and you must always have internet connection to view Google Play Movies on the big screen because Google disallows mirroring of offline movies stored in the phone to a big screen TV or Projector. You'll ALWAYS need chromecast and ALWAYS need to have unlimited fast internet if you have a Google Pixel phone or Android One phone. That's why I avoid Pixel phones and Android One phones because I'm in to offline movie streaming. You can't beat the convenience of storing unlimited offline movies in a phone with micro sd card which you can downloaded for offline viewing on free Wifi and the offline download viewable everywhere, not only on the phone screen but on large TV and projector screens as well using wired USB C to HDMI adapters. Google doesn't want that because Pixel phones don't have micro SD card expansion and because Google wants to always monitor your viewing habits with an always internet connected chromecast, in the process, wasting several GB of internet connection/data connection.

Freddo, 30 Mar 2020I have LG V20 with me and the battery always off when its 2... moreIs the battery original/genuine OEM LG battery? An original LG OEM battery comes in translucent plastic with paper seal. If you bought your V20 with the battery packed in other packaging, it is fake. Your experience where the V20 shuts down even at 20% or 15% battery is symptom of a fake battery. Now if your V20 phone heats up excessively and drains the battery fast, you may also have a corrupted firmware or a misbehaving app or apps. Factory reset phone in this case and excessive heat up and battery drain will resolve (assuming you have a genuine OEM LG V20 battery installed).

Here's how a brand new OEM/original (not fake) LG V20 battery is packed (note the translucent plastic and paper seal at 4min 13sec into the YouTube video below) :
                              https://youtu.be/3eiNKhQeNO8

Any other packaging used in your V20 battery means the battery is fake (even if it looks just like the original). You are better off buying third party extended batteries than buying those fake batteries that look like the original but is actually fake because it did not come in original manufacturer packaging (translucent plastic with paper seal shown in the YouTube video above - 4min 13sec into the video).

Rimac , 28 Mar 2020I've a question : with a V20 stuck at Oreo, which problem ... moreThere are several security vulnerabilities discovered long after the last security patch issued by LG to the V20. Hackers are actively exploiting them. When you do online transactions - example, shop online with your credit card, a hacker can compromise your V20 and capture your credit card details, passwords, etc. using one of the many android vulnerabilities, discovered after the last LG V20 security patch. You don't have to do anything risky. Even just using your wifi or connecting to your bluetooth devices or tethering your mobile data or reading your email or browsing a shopping site can open your V20 to hacking attacks without you knowing it due to unpatched vulnerabilities (security patch not updated). It's as easy as that. No need to open an email with malicious attachment or browse a torrent or malicious site. There are lots of many sophisticated ways hackers can get into a phone with very old security patch despite the user being very careful and even without requiring risky user behavior. Here's a list of all security vulnerabilities unpatched in the V20 with old security patch.
