Buy genuine OEM or third party extended battery. Neve buy fake LG batteries. They look like OEM but they last only half as long shut down the phone even at 15-20% battery charge remaining. The original OEM V20 batteries were made by Donghwa Tocad Electronics and come in translucent plastic with paper seal.

As for ghosting, it has been mentioned several times. Just do a search here in the search box. Download and install Blue Light Filter app' by 'Leap Fitness Group' in Google Playstore, launch the app and use the following settings:
Night Mode: toggle 'ON',
Color temperature: 4500K (Tap 'sun and clouds' icon and tap 'OK' when prompted it is not good for sleeping),
Intensity: 0-1%
Screen dim: 3-5%
Set auto timer: toggle 'OFF'
Set Notification bar: toggle 'OFF'
It will solve your screen retention issues with the V20.

Boys and girls, does anyone know a way to root H910? (after the November 2017 update)
I have a h918 which is impossible to root (I also damaged its display) and I bought a h910 with the hope I could root it and install LineageOS. It turned out there was a patch of the at&t software which disabeld the method of rooting that I was using. If you could recommend me a method, I would be very grateful. If not, does anyone know of a version which can be rooted for sure? I think I am going to buy another V20 anyway, this phone is so cool, I want to keep it for many years.

The update is very stable and butter smooth phone feels completely new and super fast. Till now no problem regarding wifi only issue is screen ghosting which has gotten more worse.

Updated to oreo the screen ghosting has become more worse please give a solution and the battery life worse then ever

Anonymous, 29 Dec 2018-ESA-xx variant of V20 (H990 DS) still has no Oreo update. ... moreinternational and no carrier branded devices are suppose to be faster on OS update track but on lg policy is the opposite as I can see they only deliver os updates to carriers surely because they are pushed to do so..... but other units don't get anything ..... it is a shame that I have an lg g5 rs988 unlocked no carrier branded and still using 7.0 ........ don't get it when all us variants has the update already.

-ESA-xx variant of V20 (H990 DS) still has no Oreo update. With such horrible update support, LG will be irrelevant in 2019.

LG V20 upgraded to Oreo ! Was apprehensive about the update however find out to be stable -my phone is smooth as butter ... Though too late , happy to get Oreo !!!

Good News: Finally, LG V20 (DS) started receiving oreo 8.0 update in India on today 28/12/2018. Just now got a pop-up with 1.8gb update. Updating it now on my v20. Check it manually, if not....

I enjoy since eighteen months ago the V20 without complaints and a second unit since fifteen months ago also without complaints.
I recommend you strongly the V20, despite the 'newest'.
