Best phone i ever had. Much better then Lg G4. The replacement batteries hugh plus. At first I was not crazy about the large size but after awhile you get used to it. The speakers pretty good but having it at the bottom of the phone is a little unusual. While LG's customer service is nothing to brag. But the phone itself is top-notch. it's fast and best of all unlike the LG 4 it does not get hot. It has a lot of photo options but I'm not very good at using those the memory is large and 64 the worst problem with it is too much bloatware that comes with the phone but that's not the phone's fault as I said before being able to replace the battery and the easy access with the side button has been great I carry an extra battery and has been a huge benefit if I had a choice I would never go back to the non replaceable battery phones for me this is the best phone if I had one other request it would be a better camera for the one that has isn't bad you just can't do distance shots you'll need some kind of adapter

Anonymous, 11 Nov 2018I've read an article from a reliable source that V20 would ... moreScreenburn issue, if device is under warranty, LG wil replace display, but wil face same issue later on.

This is an absolutely fantastic phone if you know what you're doing with it. I've bought 3 of these already and so far all of them have been working well. (note that there are shady refurbished ones out there)
My suggestions: replace the thermal paste and add some metal to the inside of the phone as this will make a world of difference in terms of heat dissipation. Install the camera port from the pixel phone. Root the phone and change the thermal throttling specifications as this sometimes slows down the phone's gaming abilities. And finally, buy a 6,700 mAh battery! You'll thank me later for it!

And I can install LineageOS on it and be a free person yeeaaah!
I totally disliked the Oreo update though because the t mobile bloatware got updated as well and now it's asking me to confirm whether want to turn my mobile data on or off every fucking time. It's annoying. Anyway, rooting should take care of it.

Seventeen months ago I bought one V20, four months later the second, with the basic idea of having phone (I'm an old man) lifetime. The LG software update installed a pair of weeks ago seems doesn't have virus to planed obsolescence, something that is at present usual.

It... moreYes, the previous LG phones (LG G4 in particular) had known bootloop issues which are higher than normal levels. Not the V20. Phones manufacturerd always have defective units but they are very few and isolated to begin with to claim the phone model has a bootloop issue. Even Samsungs and iphones have units that bootloop but its not widespread to be called an issue. Same wirh the V20. Onlybthe G4bhadba real bootloop issue.

I bought a refurbished LG V20 from Aliexpress last Dec. It arrived in Jan. Within a few weeks I noticed that it would freeze and reboots inexplicably. I contacted LG to see if I could get it fixed. It was not under warranty so I offered to pay for them to fix it. Then they tell me it was not refurbished by them so the product has been tampered with. As a result they have refused to touch the phone.

By online research did indicate that a few of their models have had boot issues. Including the V20:

I've read an article from a reliable source that V20 would get the Pie update in 2019. But that won't stop me from upgrading to V30+. I have my reasons.

One day the phone asked me if I want to upgrade. I choose yes and it did all by itself, after reboot it was Oreo 8.0.0 ver H91820f.
