If not, you may have a defective camera or have set the focus to manual focus. If neither of the two, you may have damaged/dirtied/cracked lens that prevents proper focusing.

I've never been able to capture a clear photo...all rear camera pictures are fuzzy, front camera turns out blurry. Also recording is fuzzy as well.. This is a serious deal breaker. LG has upgrade their camera. Will stick with Samsung from here on

The Verizon version received Oreo a couple of days ago. I would definitely upgrade. The UI looks more polished, extra features and they got rid of those orange bars when in battery saving mode.

A new Lg statement saying that Oreo upgrade for H990ds was scheduled at the end of October

My V20 ended up being the better LG phone as while it has issues, it doesn't have the 1% drain every 2 minutes problem that my G5 has given me. The V20 still isn't perfect by any means. It's the laggiest among my Top 4. It did have image retention which hasn't come back in months.

What I'm truly disappointed is this started on Nougat and I still haven't gotten Oreo. Imagine for Pie which I already have on my Essential? I'm not buying another LG phone ever again. I'll stick to the Google Pixels from now even though Android File Transfer on macOS can't recognize it but my Essential can.

If worse comes to worst, I may end up going back to iPhone. Haven't use one as a daily driver in 7.5 years. Apple at least are more RELIABLE than LG.

Not many people are aware that batteries have limited number of charging cycles. The more frequent the battery gets to low discharge levels at the end of the day (15% or less), the more damaging it is to the battery (accelerated wear and tear). A good battery will not cause sudden shutdown even when you only have 3% left. Once a battery experiences sudden shutdowns at 5% left, then the downward death cycle of the battery has started. It will get worse with continued use at deep discharge levels until such time that it may even experience sudden shutdown at as higher battery levels (10% or higher). When it does that just purchase a new OEM battery, a sealed/genuine one and it should perform like it was new. That's the good thing about removable batteries. If it were sealed battery, you will most likely have to dispose of your phone as manufacturers tend not to make replacement batteries of older model phones easily available at low prices.

They cost less but don't have the reliability of the genuine batteries. Be sure to buy only original LG V20 OEM batteries because the non-OEM batteries tend to discharge fast or display 'invalid battery' message. Original OEM V20 batteries come in translucent plastic with scored paper seal just like the one that came inside the retail box with your V20. Here's how the original packaging of an OEM V20 battery looks: https://m.bonanza.com/items/like/535022541/new-oem-original-lg-v20-bl-44e1f-3200mah-genuine-battery-h910-h918-v995
As for the screen retention, just download bluelight filter app and install it to avoid screen retention. Just do a search here using the search box.

I recommend you the PERFINE extended battery of 6.400 mAh. The 9.300 mAh MUGEN POWER extended battery is a good option with NFC., however with a weak point : has only back cover without supplementary case.

Being using it for six months now. Purchased it used. Working flawlessly. Love the speed and sound. Beautiful interface now with the Oreo 8.0 update. Big enough, satisfying service and excellent gaming performance. Battery juice could suffer endurance reduction as a long time passes by, but you have the huge advantage of purchasing a new battery and replace it yourself since it is a user removable one. Excellent camera performance as well. Second screen customizable shortcuts make your life easier with it. Hope the user replaceable battery high end phones come back with the same configuration as this legendary champion.

I've had my V20 for 2 years now. I'm with Verizon. About 3 months ago, I start getting burn in on my screen. It's noticeable, but not debilitating. My phone was updated to Oreo 8.0 on 9/15/18, and it's working pretty nicely. The batter life is shot at this point, but after two years, that's to be expected from a cell phone battery. The only part of it that's really annoying is that the battery life indicator on the phone is deceptive. I plan on buying a new battery and keeping this phone for as long as possible, as I very much enjoy the second screen.

Absolute worst phone! Do not get it!! It was a good phone for about the first 5 months or so, and then it started going downhill. I cannot believe the price for this phone is 800.00, but after a year and a half its worth about 300.00, and the unfortunate thing is, I still have about 4 months left with this piece of crap. It now dies at 30% battery life, the texting is horrible, it wont auto correct, and when it does auto correct, its no where near what I needed. Once my contract is up with this phone, I will switch to Samsung, and stay with Samsung indefinitely.
