It was error in buying lg v20 some two years ago due to zero updating up to now. Now i'm enjoying other midrange phones from huawei and samsung.

      I am one of those who like to get a constant software update, which brings enhancement and solve issues. Security patch alone is not enough, Ironically, we are getting none.

        My G5 and V20 have noticeable battery degradation. I honestly stopped caring since I'm doing the 75/45% battery rule with them both. I figure 30% per day should give me about 1-2 hrs SOT from each one.

        Both LG are still great phones other than the faster battery drain especially when streaming videos. I could never get rid of either one because I need the IR blaster and that wide-angle is really practical.

          This was my 3rd device after G2,G4. But enough is enough. It's too lazy from their side to ignore existing customers. Keep releasing new phones and screw the loyal customers. Lg is going to be history.
          Btw where can I reregister my complain to lg about this ?

                  we don't mind further delay only if lg would skip oreo 8.0 to 8.1. Otherwise, it's considered as negligence and disregard to its customers.

Since the V40 is going to be released in October 2018 yet, I don't expect the V20 to be updated to Oreo before that (if ever it gets updated). It's LG's strategy to coax/force V20 owners to give up waiting for Oreo in their V20's and buy instead the new V40 which has Oreo installed.

                    LG probably thinks more V20 owners will upgrade to the V40 if the V20 Oreo update is delayed longer - longer than the V40's product launching date. LG couldn't be more wrong because V20 owners don't want to upgrade to another LG phone especially with all subsequent LG flagship phones no longer having removable batteries, no longer having the IR blaster, and no longer having dedicated sd card slot. All newer LG flagship phones have made the second SIM slot hybrid where before in the V20, it's two separate sim slots and an additional dedicated micro sd card slot (3 slots in all). Also, LG has elongated the screen from 16:9 to 18:9 which many V20 owners don't like, and LG has removed the second screen, and shifted to short lived, permanently screen burning amoled.

                            The v20 release date changed from April, May, June, July , August. and we are almost in mid September, and yet some models haven't tasted the oreo, lg, all you care about selling more devices with 0 services

                              We are in September, an yet no sign of oreo for H990ds, is that was another lie from Lg, If that's true, no wonder, lg always treat its customers this way.

'Overly/unreasonably restrictive' and 'very limiting' is how I would describe it compared to android. It has a convoluted way of making things as simple as media/file transfers to and from PC's and other phones and wireless screen sharing to tv's a lot more complicated than it has to be. It has a habit of monetizing everything and for that reason, uses proprietary software, hardware, connectors/accessories
                                to lock you up to its archaic system of excessive control and limited freedom.

Although I do not approve LG's bad behavior, the LG V20 H990DS is a very good phone. However - if it does not receive an update, I will sell it and never buy another LG device.
