HarryD, 02 Sep 2017I'm interested in this phone but I've heard that even the l... moreWhere r u from? Mars? No bootloop on my G5. Cmon brooooo......so stop it

NOT AN LG FAN.im a Sony XZ Premium user and will stay with Sony. But after reading there and here.

I could say the V30 is good.the screen is 6 inch with 537PPI(dont start the human eye cant see the difference above 400PPI bla bla bla)why?i moded my XZP to always use 4K and yes there is a difference which can be seen by the HUMAN EYES.

Next is the OLED display.when i bought the V20 i was hoping i wouldnt be getting backlight bleed(backlight BLEED not backlight GLOW).but i did so i ended selling the V20 after 2 weeks as i am OCD.but other than the backlight bleed it was actually a good phone.

And for those saying removable batteries are a must.come on it has QC 3.0 and wireless charging.just plug it in frequently.problem solved.

The 2 things i dislike is that it looks like an S8 and it doesnt have the LG brand at the front.i mean come on why would they remove the brand.

I might consider getting the V30 to replace my XZP as my daily driver as i do not want to have problems with my XZP(No service center for XZP in Indonesia).and LG in Indonesia has good aftersales so yeah.

At first glance i thought it was an S8 lool

LG FAN, 02 Sep 2017I want to know if LG V30 has facial recognition like SAMSUNG?Facial recognition, yes. Works even better according to pre-prod reviews.

I use IR on my G3 for a multitude of devices both at home and in office like TVs aircons etc. It just very convenient. IR and FM radio were among the reasons many folks always chose LG over Samsung. Apple somehow convince the world that consumers dont need a lot of practical features thats enhances user experience examples removable battery despite the many many many advantages over nonremovable, headphone jacks, sd cards, FM Radio, IR among others. Then Samsung copies a lot of what Apple does, then everybody copies Samsung. The V30 is truly a great product and still have many differences from Samsung and other brands but the key features that made it stand out are now all gone. And please dont say infrared and FM radio is dead. A great many people - if not the vast majority - still own products (tvs, aircons, dvd players) that use infrared. IR provides an interface between old and new technology. And yes many people dont know of and dont use the feature but many do. And even then how much can it possibly cost the company to include this feature. After waiting like forever for a worthy upgrade to the G3 may still buy the V30 for the camera and design but while its prettier than its predecessors (v10, v20) it will keep u yearning for those forgotten features.

Can stomach the lack of removable battery, FM radio, and badly placed headphone jack (well the way the industry is going at least there is one), but the IR blaster is quite very useful. Now that LG is focusing aesthetics they are removing key features that attracted the very people who bought their phones in the first place. I hope u finally get the 10s of millions of buyers you have been searching for since your awesome G3.

My only disappointment is that sluggish 1/3.1inch sensor. That one was the HTC U11s front camera and they made it the main camera so pathetic decision. I would not have any problem if the camera module had bump to make room for a slightly larger sensor like 1/2.6 or 1/2.3inch.

I'm interested in this phone but I've heard that even the latest LGs had bootlooping. Do we anticipate this being an issue with the V30?

                                    Why no IR blaster.....

LG V30 is looking so beautiful. Plus point for perfect design, 6 inch 2:1 display which i like, 16mp camera and Snapdragon 835 chipset.
