More screen (sort of like in competition), better camera, better battery, and up to date hardware and software. But they don't need to change anything. Footprint is perfect, battery is amazing and can only get better. Next gen battery charging and update camera to compete. If I could, just add stereo speakers but that's it really. It has DAC and headphone jack.

joe nodden, 20 Nov 2019Dude oreo came out before this phone even released. It was ... moreEvery smartphone company has a plan for software updates while releasing a product. Software updates also depends region wise or how the manufacturer is marketing that product in that region/ country.
For LG, they sell smartphones in their homeland Korea at a very high price. In comparison the price in USA is much lower. It is even lower at the most competitive smartphone market in the world aka India.
To justify the high price in Korea, LG often provides additional features & software updates that are not available to the rest of the world. For example in Korea, LG V20 received Android Pie update and it is very unlikely that the rest of the world to get the same update.
The general trend among smartphone manufacturers is 2 years of android version upgrades and 3 years of security updates. However I will be very surprised and happy if LG rolls out Android 10 for LG V30 on a global scale.

Cannot replace battery. When battery wears out, the phone becomes trash. Also GPS is always on because you cannot take out battery. Removing any phone's battery is the only sure way to turn off GPS when you want privacy.

User, 10 Nov 2019waiting for android OS 10 Q.LG V30 got upgraded from Android Nougat to Oreo and finally Pie. I think that is fair enough from LG's side in terms of Android version upgrades. Remember this phone is over 2 years old, so I will be very happy is LG provides an year more of just android security updates.
I am very happy after the Pie update on my V30+, very stable with no WiFi connectivity issues. I will never downgrade to Oreo.

Mainly it is due to badly designed and installed apps which are the biggest culprit as the app development companies doesn't push the updates as per the latest os guidelines.

Told yall many times. Updates will mess up your os! Companies intentionally do this so u can buy new phones. Thats why im keeping oreo. I refuse to do update. Oreo works fine for me.
