Mudassar, 17 Feb 2019forget about dual voltee. it does not even support voltee ... moreI have tested with the most widely used Jio 4G VoLTE only and it works fine. However I never knew V30+ in India does not support VoLTE bands from other service provides. Hope LG solves this issue with future Android Pie update.

fais01, 17 Feb 2019I bought The V30+ H930DS Indonesian version for $400. Manuf... moreI use exactly the same V30+ model (H930DS) like yours. However my phone belongs to a much newer batch with manufacturing month set to Dec, 2018. Yours belong to a 10 month old Feb, 2018 batch. I believe this is the reason why I do not face any glaring display related issues like yours.
LG has tremendously improved their P-OLED panel yield rates and as such fixed all those known V30+ display issues during launch. I have observed my V30+ display have no graininess or color shift when viewed. All in all, it's not the best display, but it is high-res, bright (upto 616 nits), vibrant, has nice blacks and I enjoy it much more than my OnePlus 6T.

I bought The V30+ H930DS Indonesian version for $400. Manufacture Date 02.2018 V1.1
There is an issue about grainy or dirty or muddy or blotchy display, whatever it called, it look like a little harsh paper especially in white and green colour.
And the most problem is, THE DISPLAY COULD NOT BRING DETAILS OF IMAGE. It like see a display with dirty glass but can't clean it. So the 537 ppi Density like false to do the job.
I replace it twice till another no unit left.
The blue shift still present anyway but this isn't disturb me much. I love with this phone feature anb without NOTCH, just the Screen problem like that and not 4000mAh battery(thank you Powerbank)
is there no trick or tips to fix this blotch ?
I hope ih could be fix in an update OTA
please LG

In India LG introduced the V30+ model @ INR 45K. Now a year on it is available @ INR 23.25K during festival period. A wise man always wait for the right time. :)

James, 21 Dec 2018Is this phone still worth it at 2018? I'm thinking to buy i... moreI bought the LG V30+ ThinQ (128 GB variant) during Jan, 2019 Indian Republic Day Sale from Flipkart. For those who don't know Flipkart is now owned by Walmart. It was available for just INR 23,249 (~$325) after heavy discounts and a steal at this price. This is the top end B&O edition with bundled B&O headphones, manufactured in Korea which means product quality is even better than Chinese and assembled Indian variant.
1) BUILD QUALITY: In terms of build quality & overall design V30 is a true flagship and it shows in pure, elegant looks, meeting military drop & shock resistance standards (MIL-STD-810G) and even IP68 dust & water resistance. Both front & back of the metal chassis is protected by a pair of Corning Gorilla Glass 5. My phone looks stunning in silver color variant with metal-clad sides and slim bezels.
2) DISPLAY: V30's 6 inch 18:9 notch-less Quad HD, P-OLED panel uses a similar technology that Samsung uses to manufacture their AM-OLED panels; LG's is just a generation behind. It seems LG had fixed all display related issues as my V30 has no color shift when viewed even at very steep angles. Benefits of OLED over LCD are obviously lower power consumption and less display heat. All in all, it's not the best display, but it is high-res, bright (upto 616 nits), vibrant, has nice blacks and I enjoy it much more than my OnePlus 6T.
3) LG UX: Needless to say, V30's user interface (LG UX 6) is well thought, designed & optimized overlay on top of Android Oreo and indeed deliver a butter smooth & lag-free user experience. However just like any other custom skin it may be not to everybody's taste. The amount of customized features hidden under tons of sub menus is just insane on LG's UI. LG is very slow in rolling out software updates but we are confirmed Android Pie is due by Q2, 2019.
4) SNAPDRAGON 835: V30 ships with last year's Qualcomm flagship, but remember it still is the third best SoC out there after SD845 & Huawei's Kirin 980. Flagship SoCs are powerful enough to breeze through any app for next 5 years, so SD835 is plenty powerful. Both SD835 & latest SD845 uses same 10 nm manufacturing process which denotes both are very power efficient and provide great battery life. For gaming I played PUBG and Asphalt 9 at highest graphic settings and even after two hours of continuous game-play V30 showed no signs of stutter or frame drops. Thanks to OLED display being used display heat is negligible compared to LCDs and the copper heat pipe integrated to metal chassis does indeed absorb and disperses heat away from SD835 to further minimize any risk of overheating thus greatly improving sustained gaming experience. Mix in 4 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128 GB of ultra-fast UFS 2.1 flash storage and V30 becomes a multitasking king with blazing fast read are write speeds. Even though the RAM is just 4 GB by today's standards, the LG UX has excellent memory management and is blazing fast. One point to note that V30 does not support dual 4GVoLTE, hence 2 Jio sims won't work.
5) CAMERA: V30+ always boasted excellent camera hardware, having the merit to challenge Samsung S8+ on the open. The 16 MP bright f/1.6 main rear camera boasts 10-bit HDR sensor, a glass lens to let more light in and every kind of stabilization you can think of. The pictures turns out great with good amount of detailing, excellent contrast and having well balanced exposure. The rear wide angle camera while not as good as the main one provides much wider field of view and is a welcome addition. The front selfie camera is not so good but turns out adequate for my needs as I don't use them much.
6) AUDIO: V30 retains every music lover's dream in keeping a 3.5 mm headphone jack & HiFi audio courtesy audiophile grade 32-bit ESS Sabre ES9218P (DAC + Audio Amplifier) chip. Hands down this is the best DAC a phone can have. Sound signature through audio jack is typical ESS fashion, excellent instrument separation, airy & precise highs, mids lacking little warmth but with excellent timbre while lows are tight & controlled. Plug in high impedance headphones and immediately you feel the difference in volume with the amplifier kicking in. The stock music player is very easy to use while supporting high quality audio files upto 32-bit@384kHz PCM and DSD256 formats. The phone supports Bluetooth 5.0, Qualcomm's aptx HD & Sony's LDAC, so I get great Bluetooth range with headphones & great audio quality with support of streaming high-res 24-bit audio, rather than the mundane 16-bit found on almost all phones.
7) BATTERY: On paper the 3,300 mAh battery isn't small by today's standards, but it's not record-breaking either. That said, battery life has been great. So much so, in fact, that with my heavy use in a day I haven't actually managed to bring the handset to the point where it shows up at 25% left. The wall charger is rated 16.2 watts (9V, 1.8A) and supports Qualcomm QC 3.0 & Qnovo's algorithms which aids in fast & safe charging. Results are astounding with 0 to 50% charge in 32 mins, 0 to 75% in 47 mins, 0 to 90% in 68 mins & 0 to 100% in 102 mins flat. I did this measurement while keeping the phone switched off and charger connected.
