V30+ has exemplary audio quality through the 3.5 mm audio jack, thanks for implementing the best digital-to-analog converters (DAC) & headphone amplifiers in business. This phone is a serious music listening tool when you consider the DAC is an audiophile grade ESS Sabre ES9218P. This is an integrated package of DAC and audio amplifier, and the amplifier side is plenty powerful able to drive even big 600 ohms cans!!!

The ES9218P is a 32-bit Quad DAC with 2.0Vrms output, SNR: 130 dB, THD: -114 dB. Supports up to 32-bit @ 384kHz PCM and DSD256 file formats. Very happy with the phone, it an all rounder flagship with audiophile grade sound quality through the headphone jack.

When connected to bluetooth headphones V30+ supports Qualcomm's aptx HD, so able to stream upto 24-bit @ 48 kHz audio, rather than the mundane 16-bit found on almost all phones. Sound quality is drastically improved, and you can hear the difference when you use a high quality Bluetooth headphone supporting aptx HD & LDAC.

And this is a pretty amazing achievement from LG considering display resolution is Quad HD. The phone supports QC 3.0, so charging is plenty fast.

    For extended gaming V30+ features a heat pipe to keep Snap 835 cool, so no stutters and frame drops while gaming. These occurs with thermal throttling of SoC.

        lg should really move on from using LCD displays. this is a perfect example of how good lg could be with LED displays. LCD displays destroys everything from battery life to display quality

Vivo has shied away in it's premium audiocentric X series. Lenovo is not going to bring any VibeX3 successor. Meizu could not harp after its Pro M series 5,6 etc. Manufacturers are busy in adding camera's many a times just per gimmicks. On the other hand dragonfly & Fiio just rotating some akg and ess chips and not all their lineups are VFM purchase. With LG focusing on G & Q series no genuine 32bit dac is expected in them ahead.

            Bought LG V30+ ThinQ (128 GB) variant on Flipkart during Indian Republic Day Sale (2019). It was available for just INR 23,249 ($ 325) after heavy discounts. This is the top end B&O edition with supplied B&O earphones!!! Manufactured in Korea and not China, means product quality is even better than China variant. After a day of use, I found it is a true flagship device. Sound quality through headphone jack is heavenly. Extremely satisfied with the purchase.

                      I haven't got a update since last August! Why i it is taking sucha long time to get android 9 update. People buy high end phones not only just for its features.!Why LG says this is a flagship even if they cannot give updates!! Such a shame!

                                I think LG is sleeping or forget to prepare firmware updates for LG V30 plus for last 5 months. I am saying truthfully and after serious thought that I will never buy anything from LG electronics in the future. Because all they do is dump their unsold LG v30 phones in India and never care about after sale operations.
                                Apart from dull display colour issues it is a very good smartphone or better than Samsung galaxy phones. After last update it's battery life has taken a big hit and since then its 2/3 of earlier screen times.

                                  its been 5 months since i received my last security update for my lg v30+ indian version.
