Been using it for 1 month already and damn this phone is buggy although not showstoppers. Still, I've been using Galaxy Note 2 and 4 for the last 5 years and I don't recall noticing a single bug. 1) Mini-view doesn't work, 2) Anyone saying "OK Google" at lockscreen bypasses all login security making fingerprint / voice / face / pattern useless. 3) Smart Settings not so smart if you live in tall buildings, to name a few. Nonetheless, I still love it...especially the easily accessible and super fast fingerprint sensor. My bank and other information sensitive apps all use fingerprint for authentication. Super convenient.

iPhone has a brilliant display although that notch is weird. I saw the V30 2 days ago and it's much better than the G6 display but not as vibrant as the Samsung AMOLED, you can see that when you reduce brightness to 50%

Hi all I have owned the LG v30+ for a little while now and can share my thoughts.

              Pros
              - Excellent Audio. Nothing else comes close. The ability to switch to high impedance mode on 50+ ohm headphones shows off the audio prowess of the phone
              - Smooth and fast in day to say use
              - Beautiful build quality
              - 6" screen is nice (with caveat.. See below)

              Cons
              - Screen not best compared to competition, having said that still very nice and better my design than the crappy notched panel of the iPhone X... Would take the v30 over that any day... Watch a movie in full screen... Without a notch over the movie..
              - Rear camera is ok, the V20 was better. (distortion on wide lens has been improved though)
              - Selfie camera not the good... Good enough for most I'd say though

              Overall

              - Great phone. If your an Audiophile just get it
              - If you want good value for your money I think the V20 is the better buy

Anonymous, 14 Dec 2017Congratulations.What can you tell us about the battery life... moreBought a V30+. Thoughts after 1 month.

                    Pros:

Amazing battery life. 5 to 7 hours on screen time depending on usage. Always on auto brightness super legible display. Never charged my phone before go to bed. Li-Po batteries are back after 5 years and the G2. Thanks Lg for waking up!

                    Slick beautiful design

                    Realy fast in everyday use.

                    Big storage 128gb

Super good quality videos in good light.

Call quality, sound(on headphones) and features pack

                    Cons:

                    For a 1200$ AUD

Display not on par with Samsung's or iPhones. (Strong Bluish tint and color swifting if you not looking straight to the screen)

Max auto brightness doesn't kick in always (as with previous lg phones I had.) So you left with only 400nits when you mostly need it!

Cameras stills have not great resolved detail.

Not a good low light performer(maybe super tiny small pixels to blame for?)

Selfie cam is disappointing..for flagship 2017. Its just good enough in very good light.

Not worth it the price tag...s8+ other competition is cheaper in all gray importers and doesn't suffer from this cons.

                    Conclusion.

If you find it cheaper than S8 buy it(will be there in a few months, lg mobiles go down to prices really quick after launch).

For the retail price and for what it has been advertised as from LG it is just coming short.

Poor LG I ve bought 5 of your phones so far and only G2 stood on its hype at its time. Continuously unfinished rushed overpriced flagships...when you advertised the best camera the best this and that you better be! Customers are not stupid and that the reason that your mpbile devision is sinking! Think about
If this devices was launched 20% cheaper than rivals top
flagships it would be a deal.

LG v30 plus seems to be a logical choice but I went with Note 8 due to bigger screen, S Pen plus 6GB RAM. But V30+ is way cheaper than Note 8 even if we compare the features with value for money. I never used LG mobiles before and it's associated software challenges etc....but had they introduced little earlier I might have very well gotten it.

This is a super star phone, without defects from the past, I really like the DAC feature plus the camera and screen, definitely my next phone after my relaible LG G5.

I am not sure but i think that its different for every region as i saw some unboxing videos of V30+ and they all had LG headphones and normal V30 had B&O :)

Thanks a ton FeederEater. Its very useful info. One last question. Here in India LGV30+ 128 GB costs 699$ and I phone X 64 gb costs 1259$ (Yes I mean 64 GB that too after 125$ cashback from citi) . I dont mind paying a premium for quality. At the same time I dont want to overpay. Is LG V30 on par with I phone x in terms of display, quality etc? . I want to buy the best out there. ( Rejected S8 because i didn't like the curved display. Rejected pixel 2 xl because found it very big. So left with lgv30 and i phone x)

blr123, 14 Dec 2017I am confused between I phone x and LG V30+. My priorities ... moreHi, i will try to help as i just got mine V30+. Display on V30 is good (as for colors, i will test that out tomorrow as i will go to the mall and compare it with all flagships), i tried really hard to see that problem with grain and uneven lightning on V30 in low light, but i couldnt find it (i really spent a lot of time to try to see that problem and i tried different color apps, but mine V30 doesnt suffer from that it seems like). The display is really bright (i used to keep my LG G4 on 70% brightness, but i keep my V30 on 40-50% as its really bright) and crisp, it has some blue tint when u tilt it but nothing annoying. As for audio quality, you can read my comment below that i wrote for audio, long story short, if you have cheap headphones you will hear the difference but not that much as on the more expensive ones. DAC is amazing. On the other hand, speaker is pretty decent as its only 1 bottom firing speaker. I must say that it isnt loud as much as my G4 was. As for size, i dont know how big phone u use right now, but even though it has 6 inch display, its really comfortable in my hands, it has bigger display than G4 and same weight but with bigger display. If you have small hands and want smaller phone, the Iphone would be the right choice. Iphone has better speakers and they are stereo. I hope that i managed to help even a little.
