I have lg g6 from 2017. It was a proper flagship back then and 6 months after the release i bought it for half the price. It has decent hardware for its age but lg software is just crap. And now they even take the top specs away while maintaining a very high price. This brand is doomed

I am actually going to opt for the LG G8, the processor is a snapdragon 855 and offers a ton more than this phone does. I'm disappointed with this, LG really should have done something different this time around

I think LG eather doesn't have tech to make a hole punch camera and make bazells slimmer or just loves this creepy design choice

I paid a little less than $500 for my G7 ThinQ. A proper flagship at this price. The Velvet has a 1080p screen. Who uses a 1080p display in 2020? That teardrop notch instead of a cutout? Better go for the OnePlus 8

How about the LG's legendary Hi Fi DAC ? Please LG don't skip on that ..
Jst 8Mp for wide angle? It would have been 16MP atleast.. I'm not worried about not having a tele lense but LG would have added a very good macro camera module..
That battery is also not grt.. 5000mah like V60 is practical ... 10W wireless charging is damn useless.. instead a 40W charger or bigger battery would have been much practical.
Dear LG although Design n colors are really cool why do u miss practicality at sm point?

My hands and pockets don't get bigger and with the notch, puncholes or under-screen cameras one would think that the overall size of the phone would stay the same with a bigger screen, but instead we get monsters like this that are phablet sized. Seriously, looking at the size of todays phones, they are all the same.

joel, 06 May 2020its a tall phone and good for single hand. You can hold it with one hand, but not really use it with one hand. There is to much screen you can't reach with your thumb. Secondly, not every person has a huge pocket to put a large phone in it. Smartphones with 150 x 70 mm are much easier to use with one hand and to put in your pocket. LG should downsize the phone to a Velvet S (a compact phone). Hopefully Sony brings a small 5G phone with the Sony Xperia 5 II.

What on Earth is LG doing to add a 2.0 aperture to the main camera??? And only 8 MP wide angle camera. This is disappointing from LG at this price tag. The design is very good, but we need better specs LG, and even the battery is not that big.

What a "comeback" LG, I'm disappointed. Every time you try to bring back glory from the old days, it becomes worse. I'm not hating the notch, the chipset or the camera, but what the hell is wrong with these dimensions. Every smartphone company announces new smartphones every month and the smartphones get bigger and bigger. Seriously? What is wrong with a smaller 5.8 inch or 6.1 display (like the G8?)? If this smartphones comes with a 600€ price tag, it will be a shelf warmer.
