Meizu's upcoming MX6 smartphone to cost around $300

Himanshu, 07 July, 2016

Meizu has revealed that its upcoming MX6 smartphone will carry a price tag of somewhere around $300. The revelation was made by co-founder Bai Yongxiang in a Weibo post where-in he also said that the MX6 will be one of the best designed phones in the RMB 2,000 category.

In the same post, Yongxiang also revealed that the handset uses a lot of technology from the Chinese company's Pro 6 smartphone, and supply chain is trying hard to make sure that there's enough stock at launch.

Rumors so far say the MX6 will be powered by a Helio X20 SoC, feature a 20.7MP/8MP camera combo, and pack in a large 4,000mAh battery. It will be available in two memory configurations: 3GB RAM/32GB storage and 4GB RAM/64GB storage. The phone is expected to be made official on July 19.

Ok, i'm glad to see that more and more decent mid-rangers with 4GB and AMOLED screens keep showing up... hopefully, we'll see more 4K amoled ones.

Helio X20 lol...i mean it's not a bad chip but it's not dev friendly, mediatek doesn't release sources etc so there won't be rom's, kernels etc As a consequence, there won't be much talk about it in the forums, that would help sales... I already...

X20 wtf use sd820 meizu
