I am using this mobile from a year... I love this phone but I have to travel to US now and unfortunately this phone is not quad band... So I can't take this to US :(
Why Micromax Why??? Why didn't you give quad band?? :(

iam using canvas A116 past 6 month ..
nice phone pic quality is very good & video as well as
no heating problem
over all very good phone ..

The Poor battery backup phone.... in all smart phones... It wasn't even one year my A116 Canvas HD battery backup is just 40 min after full charge... and surprisingly it switches off at 60% after restart it shows 2% and if you turn on 3G and left unused it exhaust in 30 to 45 mins... New problem in 11th month I need to replace battery what service center suggests... better to replace phone instead.

I bought this mobile on june 2013 & bought Galaxy S3 nearly at same time.
A116 (With 16 GB external memory) was first as good as S3 except for camera while S3 was nearly double the price. I was very satisfied with A116 & recommended it for friends & two of them bought it instead of S3.
3 months ago i installed Tango program from source outside playstore coz playstore blocked Tango for my country & installed it from same source on other 4 samsung mobiles including the S3. Since this installation i got a message on my A116 saying ((unfortunately system UI stopped)) it appears nearly every hour.
After 4 days i removed Tango & its data from A116 but message persists & then restored factory settings & message persist but in less frequency (5-8 times daily).
After restoring factory setting the battery got crazy ... It charges from 0 to 100 (With trickle charging) in less than 2 hours (Use only MMX original charger) and from 100% to 4% in 1 hour using wifi or mobile data & in 3 hours standby mode with no calls ... Im moving with the charger everywhere even i might forget the phone but cant forget the charger.
After restoring factory settings mobile changes background from any default one i choose to specific one (Colored houses) with the first UI stopped message to occur.
1 month ago i got air bubble under screen overlying t & y letters on english keyboard (Not under screen protector but under screen it self) i cant get rid of it & even cant find its name or causes on google (My mobile didnt fall or got any trauma & never touched water).
Ive no MMX service center in my country.
All galaxy mobiles are working with Tango smoothly.
After 1 year ... I think any galaxy better than any MMX.
I saved money on buying A116 but short life time ofthis brand wasted more.

Dileep, 28 Jun 2014Thanks for your comment on a116 now without any fear i can ... morebuy this set with the features and surety that it will never reach service center..because once it reaches service centre.... you will never ever...comeout of these service centres.. from my experiance... the service center of micromax..wherever in India lacks knowldge of repairing...or servicing.... so suggest not to buy..any of the set.. and whereas compared to fone...for 1 year..use.. its good..aftr that .it will.start with issues... which will..soon make this fone RIP....

hi karan anand, i think you are right. cause after purchasing 3000mah battery my canvas hd is having wifi problem. the wifi is not working after a weak of using this battery. sometime wifi is working but the most of the time it is off and it hangs my phone.
are u having the same problem or similar to this. please tell the solution how to recover my phone.

Well guys I am here to tell you what can happen if you use 3000mAh battery in your canvas HD ...well recommended battery is 2000mAh and it is imparitive that you use that only ...the conciquences of using 3000mAh battery will damage motherboard of your phone ..and also you won't be able to tune your phone to 2000mAh battery again ..as your phone will get habitual to more power input ...

Micromax is a big fraud for normal people.
If you are planning to purchase a Micromax mobile phone, Drop the idea. It’s a worst company in Mobile industry.
I purchased Micromax A116 HD in Octobert 2013, Within 8 months only I found it’s mother board got failed.
I gave servising in S3 CommunicationsCenter(Bangalore,Jayanagar 4th block)on 23-june-2014 and Still(now 45 days is over) I have not recived my mobile,the servicing center guys are saying like once mobile is come will call you.I met them around 10 times and I called to they morethan 20 times.
Pls pls pls ...I am requesting to all guys don't purchace this mobile company (I never seen like this Micromax Servicing (Its worst servicing ))...

No doubt it is good phone than turbo.pic quality too good but memory low but u can use clean master.

guess plz dont ever buy micromax mobile in life it is worst quality from others, and the service is also too too slow of it.
