Pls tell me ... moreWhen i was in the shop to buy a smartphone, i chose Samsung Galaxy S3 but due to the price being almost 30,000/- i didn't buy it. I was left with two options, Galaxy Grand and Micromax A116 Canvas HD. I used both the phone in the shop for an hour. I found the Micromax A116 Canvas HD's display and overall performance better than Galaxy Grand. Galaxy Grand was lagging when Multitasking, 2G Internet on Grand is very slow compared to Micromax A116 Canvas HD. I tried to run Riptide GP on Galaxy Grand but after installing, Riptide GP didn't run. I tried the same game on Micromax A116 Canvas HD, it ran with ease.Only camera quality and sound quality is better on Galaxy Grand than in Micromax A116 Canvas HD. So i bought Micromax A116 Canvas HD on 5th of May. I've been using it since 5th of May and i am satisfied with it. I've accidently dropped Micromax A116 Canvas HD on several occasions but hopefully it survived. I'm having a black colored Micromax A116 Canvas HD and i suggest the black color for this phone. The build quality is very good. If you're thinking of buying Micromax A116 Canvas HD then close your eyes and buy it, the battery backup on Micromax A116 Canvas HD is better than Galaxy Grand. Totally value for money.

1. Use Vodafone GPRS while roaming, no problem.
2. Picture quality is good.
3. I never had any chance to remove battery or hanged my handset.
4. Take less than 2 hours for full charging.
If you use your handset carefully no problem.

Model A116 Just two weeks got a problem in the music player
I am not used much, Now the system app Music is not working.
Service is v v worst
No auto updates
Few 1000s more will provide us the good brand
I bought this as just for Indian company, but its really a worst brand
I got one recent comment from my friend as the Micromax Service Center is the only irresponsible and even after two month they will not return our mobile back to us.

They make their products in China, just like any other tech giant like Samsung. Everyone can't spend 20k or more for a smartphone and everyone don't care about camera. As for camera quality of Micromax A116 Canvas HD, it's decent if not great. Simply it's acceptable. I have a Samsung Galaxy Y with a 2 MP camera which takes fine pictures and when compared to the picture quality of Micromax A116 Canvas HD, it's nothing. And one more thing, Micromax is the 11th largest mobile manufacturer. Apple, Samsung, LG, etc all manufacture their phones in China. Micromax too manufacture their phones in China but it doesn't mean that they use dumped parts by Samsung or LG to manufacture their phones. They manufacture good phones at affordable prices, unlike many other tech giant. We should appreciate that instead of criticizing. Samsung launched the quad core version of Galaxy Grand in Korea for 16000, but they are selling the dual core version for 21000 in India and it's mostly because of people like you who has a mindset that anything that is cheap isn't good. Hoorahh!!
I took a great risk buying a local brand.
But something I wanted to just try out. But MicroMac(MMX) has done a great job on the phone and I see mostly planning to do great on others of its devices too.
When a friend suggested me this phone I was like... MMX??
It was 15th feb'13(Yeah.. One day later MMX A116 first released in India) when we got into the discussion
time say 1-8pm..
By midnight googleing and visiting the MMX website and the lavish Snapdeal offer i had already placed the order.. Surprised ?? Even I was..
But the look of picture and the design on this MMX dev mesmerized me. Also the picture gave much idea on the improved quality of materials MMX used.
Well here i am not 3 months later righting a review after very explicit and thorough use of it.. All to say, great, great and great..
and more awesome are those advertisements..
But such a good configuration can be so cheap and so good, never really imagined.. The phone has turned out to be the hero and enlightened everyone of how Indians could bring out so much.
Now am also hearing it has beaten up Samsung Grand in grande style.
All in one.. Worth Buying and Buying worth

Never go for any cheap phone, you'll get what you pay for. Go for Samsung / Apple / LG etc, world leaders, every penny you put in will be worth it.
Camera & Battery in all these cheap phones are the WORST. An 8MP in Micromax / Karbonn / Spice / Videocon / Zync / Zen / Lemon Any other cheap manufacturer is worst than a 3 MP in any of the Samsung / Nokia / Apple / LG / HTC / SONY / phone.
Moreover just megapixels is not the only measure in Camera quality, the sensor type and make makes all the difference in what type of image is produced or video is captured. See any of the real samples in these so called FULL HD cheap mobile phones, you';ll cry looking at the Image & Video Quality, colors washed out, faded, lifeless, grainy and unreal, lacking depth etc..
On the battery front too...just labelled mAh is not a measure, quality and material used in the battery is the key. ALl these cheap phone makers go for substandard material and build of battery.
3000mah in any of the cheap ones is not even equal to 1300mah in any of the mobile leaders. You get what you PAY for. Think BEFORE you get burn your money and get stuck.

The battery gets full charged within 2.5 hours, games that don't run on Galaxy Grand runs fine on Canvas HD. No Lags. The camera is of 8 Mega pixels. Check the resolution you'd know. The camera is decent if not great. Please don't post comments that are false.
