the set is not so good as it looks on picture ..
(1) you cannot use gprs if u r on roaming sim card.
(2) picture quality is not so up to date . its not even 5 mega pixel .
(3) some times hang so badly that i used to take out battery for sometime.
(4) battery needs to be charged 12 hours daily , it means keep this phone on always charging , worst battery i have even seen .

the convas hd display is 5 times better than the galaxy and video perfomance is also 3 times better in convas and camera is equal on the both phones and gamming perfamonce is slightly better on galaxy but games are slightlu logging on galaxy
so i am decide yo sold to my galaxy and purchasing the convas
the convas is really amazing phone
and in convas sound quality is poor but you can download poweramp or rocket musicplayer or winamp in playstore
this players are give to 2times bettr quality from the galaxy
so dont wast to your money it is better to going on buy the micromax convas hd and save to 7,000rs

Brought it yesterday from reliance digital. Very nice phone. Looks are good. Over all response is good. Value for money.
For normal surfing,hearing music and watching video it is great phone.
Micromax has improved a lot.

I am using the phone since 10 days and so far am a happy user. I feel this is the best available phone in the market with this specs in this price. Celkon HD could be one choice but its relatively new in the market.
Bought it online from the mobwiile store at 14.5k with 16Gb card free.
As seems accepted on this forum, only couple of cons are speaker sound quality and camera at night. But then for sound, you can always go for high end headphones/speakers which works pretty well. And who cares about mobile camera at night!

Hi, can anyone advise how do i use internet without keeping wi fi on. i live in the UK and got it from India as am not ready to spend more on contract phones here. at home i have wireless net connection so i can use internet over the phone and also apps. but when i go out of house, i cant access any net or apps. tried to figure out how to work without wifi but am a novice when it comes to android based smart phones. please reply else i will have to send it back to India. thanks.....regards Ketan G

If you want to know whether you have pure Jellybean on your Canvas HD then go to setting--about phone-- quickly tap three times on "4.1.2"-- a red jellybean will appear-- tap and hold the red jellybean-- a lot of small jellybeans will appear and move around the HD screen also check #1 or #2 or something other in the last pf your kernel version

AnonD-149076, 25 May 2013Heard abt hanging problem in Canvas HD. plz advised me,m ne... moreHello mate, Canvas HD has a quad core A7 processor which is a 28nm fabrication, so this phone wouldn't heat up much also the cortex A7 saves a lot of battery. This phone doesn't lag. The quad core cpu and 1gb ram is enough to run the OS smoothly. Also thanks to project butter. The first batch of Canvas HD used to have some minor bugs but the device was "out of stock" from Mid-february or March to April. The new batch of Canvas HD(maufactured in the month of April) has no bugs. Great phone at this price.

Just swipe the page towards left, go to Hardware Testing. Then audio. Inside that go to head set mode Make it 160 (142 was default), then go to loud speaker mode make it 160, then head set speaker mode make it 160. Each and every time after making 160 select set and OK. Thats all. I did the same my sound increased. For loud speaker, head phone also. Try and it will work
