must read before buying it...using Micromax canvas HD a116 from last 12 days bought it from infibeam.com at 14500/- on experience its best smartphone at this price with gr8 quality display, touch & other features I have no problems about it... it runs smoothly, display quality is best at this range, plays games up to 1.5 GB without lag, touch response is butter smooth, call quality is too good, camera quality is average but at this price its best only behind Samsung galaxy grand, battery back up is also good because at this range no smartphone gives more than 7 hours continues net surfing or gaming while canvas HD lasts for 5.5 to 6 hours in continue gaming or net surfing, sensors present in it work quite well this are all goods which gives you value for money..... minus things which I don't' liked & disappointed me are built quality by feel n looking at body material phone doesn't look premium it looks 8500-10000/- mobile by built quality, glass on display is average can be damaged on hard fell downs n easily prone to scratches, accesserious got with it are pathetic only on looking you can say its 5000-6000/- mobile accessories, now every company coming with their own user interface Micromax has done not too gud work with jelly bean customization of phone still its above average n just fine, internal memory is low only 2.5 GB is available & apps can't be move to is external memory so disappointing for heavy gamers, lastly net speed of handset is low I'm using tata DoCoMo 2g sim which gives 5-10 kbps downloading speed at day time & 13-18 kbps at night time same sim have given 15-25kbps at day & 25-40 kbps at night downloading speed on other smartphones of other companies of same price range & I think 3g sim also gives low net speed than other smartphones I think canvas HD will give 45-70 kbps on 3g while other smartphones of same range have 70-120kbps net speed on 3g so for gud net surfing you have to use 3g sim & net packs otherwise you will get dissatisfied by its net speed! conlusion:- its a best smartphone at its price with little bit compromise but if you have more money then you can go for other branded smartphones as trust, reability & durability is their with more features in case of
Micromax you can't say anything as of now but still at this price rate its best if you don't have money!

man, 15 Apr 2013how is working of games... is it in hd?????????? pls some... morei ve played frontline commando,,shadowgun,,contract killer,,real racing,,dead trigger,,and some basic games like temple run and subway surfer...evrything works well without any problem

k, 14 Apr 2013Ask after one year which is better micromax or htc,s3.Dude, the world knows that the Gujjars are rich and they love fightings and I am no exception. It's just that I am little qualified too. All my life all I used were branded phones and trust me that I faced issues with Nokia's and I phones within few months of purchase. I phone got replaced with a new one and Nokia took 3.5 weeks to repair the problems of my phone. They gave me a spare phone to use for the time they kept my phone. Now, that's customer service..is'nt it? Something which Micromax and Karbonn lacks. Agree but you know that the worlds best car manufacturing companies like Hondas and Toyota's face problems too andin that case they call all their cars back, fix the bug and then send it back to their owners. They pay a hefty amount to the media to keep their mouth shut. Every big brand of any field has their own problems. Consider Micromax as Mahindra which is selling their cars as expensive as big imported brands and people are buying their products too, why? It's just that they have improved their after sale service and product quality. Micromax is on the same way. I hope this "ESSAY" of mine will help the people looking for a new phone within a budget and no compromise on quality.

I there must b some issue with the handset u got...
As I am using this phone since last 20 days...
Using dual sim, 16 gb external memory card, playing lots of games, with big size (contact killer 2, asphalt 7 heat, and many more... ) getting pics, videos, using apps like Skype for video calls, using wifi... And many more I do... Can't list all...
But still m not getting a single issue...never my phone gets hang or switch off or never got a lack in response...
Even though using multiple apps at a time is awesome...
It's a great phone... Great make mmx... Keep it up...

Micro, 15 Apr 2013One of my friend is using it..n he bought it frm a retail s... moreI won't recommend because it doesn't have compass, glonass ,stand alone gps. music/video player has no advanced controls and internet/ network problems. but i agree it has good display, power etc.

note: whn u buy,jst chck it cmpltly within a week,coz..micromax is giving a replacemnt warrnty within 7 days of ur buy,n they keeps their word(u cn ask d shopkeeper).
So..dont buy any mobile from online..
if it is nt available in local store or retail shop...dn jst wait..n dn buy!!
n i recommend only Flipkart.
