Grand display looks poor on papers but in reality it simply rocks... u must see it to believe... in terms of call quality, build, camera, music, grand is simply awesome...its fast too...more importantly better service.. if the price is also 14 k then surely grand wins..
its not just about specifications,, quality also matters... i have bought grand for wife...and due to the pricing factor i have ordred a116hd...hope that helps

Umi india has promised to 3 month replacement warranty and 1 year service support...sounds good,no?

A116: talk time 5 hours and standby time 174 hours...check micromax website....please don't give wrong info to people

Mobile phones will cost mor... moredon't worry it'll not cost you even a penny more as only excise duty is increase and not import duty
so that means it'll not affect micromax (but obviously it's what company takes decision)
micromax doesn't manufacture there product in india they make it in china so don't worry.

phone is one of the best phone
display -color reproduction of GRAND is better than that of MICROMAX but on the other hand MICROMAX produce sharper images
gaming- no doubt MICROMAX hd wins in this category
application - almost all application work on this phone (almost because flipBoard doesn't work)
camera- camera is not that bad, as captured images give quality of like 5mp camera of samsung phone. In this category GALAXY GRAND wins
i like this phone as it gives premium feel while its in your hand :)
If don't like this phone or i say this MICROMAX brand then you always have option to spend more money on SAMSUNG GRAND :)

Mobile phones will cost more after the just announced Union Budget by Finance Minister P Chidambaram. The segment will attract 6% custom duty for all phones above Rs 2,000 compared with 1% in the current financial.
The Indian Cellular Association National President, Pankaj Mohindroo said,"People will have to shell out an extra 4-5% for any mobile phone costing over Rs 2000, which will encourage the grey market and discourage people from buying smartphones as any 3G phone costing Rs 10,000 say, will now cost Rs 400-to-500 more. "

I am planning to buy flipcover for MMX A116. but I didn't find it on any site. can any tell me MMX A116 and A100 are same in size?, if both are nearly same in size, then I can use A100 flip cover.

I have been using canvas a110 and I found it to be one of the best phone that I could. I have downloaded nearly 80 apps from the Google play store and each and every app worked fine..Really surprised by the quality of this product from micromax..Micromax is doing to Samsung what it did to iPhone..
With the coming of HD I m now tempted towards buying that too..
Awesome phone without even a single add 9000 handset sold on day 1..
Ho!pe mmx will bring canvas 3 with higher specification like the 5.3"super amoled screen keeping phone dimension same as that of a110 ,with gorilla glass protection,720 p HD resolution 2 gb ram ,13 Mega pix camera,2550 math battery,a quad core processor .With such feature and good quality they could rule the market even if they price it around 18k..go mmx go..
