Hi guys I am planning to buy this HD phone but I hv also option of Samsung-Grand, can anyone tell that which phone would be better in terms of quality, durability, service etc because I have heard that Micromax is lacking in term of service providing than Samsung. give ur opinions it would highly appreciate ..

finally got the mobile Awesome mobile. Battery is ok for dual sim mobile. I have used Samsung mobiles before but MMX canvas HD is looking good. I have clicked many pics quality looks good. Overall mobile is good. What can you can expect in 14K.. Micromax rocks.

I was really confused between MMX HD and SGG, I did a lot of work-up on the reviews, specifications, and performance of both the phones. Finally I decided to go for SGG, the reason:
1) It comes from Samsung and that itself speaks a lot
2) MMX HD has a poor quality headset, it really looks crappy. I use my mobile a lot to listen to music, so MMX loses there
3) As far as the display issues, definitely MMX HD is lot superior but SGG doesn't look bad either. It sounds bad on paper, but looks pretty good.
4) I heard that MMX service is pretty poor. So if there are some issues with the phone I have no idea how long would they take to get it sorted out.
5) Agreed that there is a difference of 8,000/- between the both, but SGG has got that look and charisma to carry with it, looks a lot costlier than it really is.
So my final decision:I'm going for SGG pebble blue asap. Sorry people if anybody gets offended by this, but it is totally my personal opinion.

Hello all.
I m glad to write hands on review on mmx a116.
I ordered it on 14th Feb by trying multiple times (as it was sold out), i got the delivery by 16th feb.(thanks snapdeal & Delhivery courier for quick service..:))
The first thing tat i wud say tat its amazing phone wid 5' IPS display.
4.1.2 Jelly bean is more responsive than 4.0, that is for sure... Brightness is excellent which can be compared with Samsung, Htc.. I already owned canvas 1 so i know the performance difference.
I installed many apps/games like facebook, temple run 2, subway surf, skype, wassup, n many more. It runs smoothly without any lag (due to amazing 1.2 quad core processor with 1 gb ram) which was an issue wid Canvas 1 (sometimes).
Battery is suppop. I have used it for 20 hours without charging it for first time (battery came charged 70%).I am already satisfied with good battery of Canvas 1 so no doubt on battery.
Music is good in handsfree (bt i dnt like the handsfree, which is very common.. they should try handsfree like iphone or sony walkman series)...
Camera is too good. I an have nice snaps with 8MP..:) Capturing is more easy wit dis handset as it does nt take extra time after capturing snap,.. better than Canvas 1.(i dnt knw of Canvas 2, so cannot comment on it)
& yeah HD recording is really impressive.
As i dnt see any negative things yet.. so i m very much happy wid MMX HD. I wud recomment all to buy this product which wil give 200% return of ur penny spend.
I am mobile lover & have used many Samsung, Nokia & Micromax smartphone. So i will personally recommend MMX.. I have heard abt the service center issues. Hope they sort it out soon.. Also while using Canvas 1, there was an issue wid handsfree which i got replaced frm their service center... so i ve overall only good experience wid MMX.....

Got my phone last night, Below is my review.
1) Plays HD videos smoothly.
2) Screen response is good.
3) HD games plays smooth.
4) 8mp camera quality is excellent.
5) Overall performance of this phone is excellent.
6) Its worth for 14k.
Guys who ordered online, dont regret, its a good phone & you will like it.

Got and sold i used it only for an hour. not impressed by the touch screen no response in some areas restarted 5 times no change. sold to a local store for a loss of rs.4100-.
