Fck. I cant install anything, update
Time takes a whole day I can't add contacts too, it says my contacts are already in the phone but I cant see anything.always force closing apps. I search on the net on how to solve this problem's. But still nthing changed. Mybe this' phone is crap.

Hi guys,
Need help with decision making between Lumia 550 vs Lenovo Vibe K5 plus or say other device in the sub INR 8000 range.
My primary usage is for the following.
Calling 4-5 hours per day.
Sms/Whatsapp/Skype for business
Photograph (largerly snapshots of Notices, letters and other paper documents)
headset usage for calling
Office 365
9 am to 9 pm approx i.e.12 hours away from charging access
I have a one plus for android goodies anyways ( my entertainment needs are taken care off). I need suggestions purely for the above mentioned usage.

Bought this as an A grade refurb from o2 to replace a Moto E as the loudspeaker had stopped working and was also suffering from lack of memory trying to cope with the usual 30 Google bloat updates each week for apps I never used. My phone needs are simple - SMS, email, calls, occasional satnav/facebook so I don't require a pricey flagship phone. Data transfer from old to new phone was a breeze with simple bluetooth matching using the Windows Transfer My Data app, took me all of 2 minutes. The Lumia integrated perfectly with my Win 10 PC straight away and the common OS between desktop and phone meant there was no learning curve. The phone is plenty fast enough and in my opinion Win 10 Phone is a much more intuitive and user friendly OS than Android - far less bloat and clutter too. Neat little phone, worked a treat straight out of the box, lovely clear HD screen (amazing viewing angle for such a 'low end' device) and all at a great price. Knocks the much lauded but oh so slow Moto E way out of the ball park. Battery lasts well, and I've had no problems with WiFi or 4G connection. Well done Microsoft, I'd recommend this phone to anyone needing a budget smartphone. Particularly suitable for business use.

Quite a good little 'phone for the price I paid (£19.99).
The handset is normally pretty fast, but sometimes it takes ages for the keyboard to appear.
It's reasonably well built, and the specs aren't too bad.
The very major downside is the WIndows 10 OS, and the fact that there are basically no Google apps, no Firefox browser, and no official flickr app.
If you want to use them, there are apps for Facebook and Twitter, but there is a joke YouTube app from Microsoft which is essentially a glorified shortcut to the website.
Groove music can sometimes take about 10 minutes to show what music is available, including music that you are actually listening to.
There are various apps that no matter how much you loathe them, you cannot remove them.
All in all, it's a good handset, but it's nearly crippled by Microsoft's Windows 10 OS, and the arguments between Microsoft and various other tech firms.

AnonD-558322, 09 Jul 2016I wouldn't bet on anything Microsoft does.Its your opinion, Well google hardly give 8-10% andriod users marshmallow update & now going to release andriod N, even some of the promised handset will not even upgradable to next os, & there is slightly anything new in os update toobut wp7, wp8,8.1 & 10 there is huge difference between them and its not easy & especially wp10 which is completly different type

>Disconnect the charger. Press and hold the Power and Volume down keys simultaneously. Release the keys when the phone vibrates and then immediately press and hold the volume down key until the phone displays an exclamation mark (!) on the screen. Release the volume down key.
>Press the volume and power keys in the following order: volume up, volume down, power, and volume down.

Hate this phone. Upgraded (ha) from a Lumia 635 and really wish I hadn't. Windows 10 is dreadful. Edge always crashes, is extremely slow and sometimes the keyboard won't appear for typing. Battery life is worse than my old 2 year old phone. No more Lumias for me.
