yesss lumia 640 is one of the first phone to have update to windows 10.... u dont have to join insider program....as per some sites update will cumming in december 14 2015...... 😁

I'll be really amazed if Microsoft actually make an upgrade to Windows 10 possible ever.....
I've had the Lumia 640 Dual SIM for more than 6 months and despite many complaints they still make excuses and false promises. First we were told by MS that the 640 would be one of the first for the Win 10 upgrade, then we were told that only those devices with the original firmware would be able to join the Insider-Program, which excludes the 640 Dual-SIM. No replies to questions any more - typical Microsoft, only interested in selling newer mobiles!

Even Recently Vibe P1m Which Have 4000 mAh Battery But Giving Only 5-6 Hrs Battery Backup............ Lumia 640 Battery Better Than All Under 10k Budget Phone In India.

I recently bought MS 640 5'' Black.. Also bought a matt black cover . Phone is stylish & looks class. Battery back up is good. Last for 2 days if only voice call & msg.. Few apps need to be downloaded. Pdt is value for money particularly when you compare with iphones which is priced exhorbitant.

Hello dear
I am sorry for the repeated posts. But its very important for me.
I noticed today my battery and found that from 11.15 am to 10.15 pm that is 11 hour moderate use made my battery drain by 82%.
I am habitual of using 4000 mah battery so its my habit of not caring about battery.
Please tell me is this normal?
Does every phone hardly last only 12 hours

Mr A and all those who replied me. Actually I noticed today. In 6 hours my battery from 100% came to 65%. In this 6 hour near about 1.30 hr it was kept on table and rest of the time I was using 3g / 2g net, downloading.
I reset my phone today to really check the capacity of battery.
So in 6 hour my battery drained 35%. Is this normal. Please reply me dear.

I use idea which is best in network here. And in game my sis play candy crush that consume more. Next is browser that consume more.
I suspect that my battery is faulty. What can I do for this. Amazon said return phone. But I don't want any more trouble.
I expect more people to reply this issue.
Everyone blaming for purchasing Lumia now.

Phone's battery can drain fast where the network signals are not strong. So, see to it that you use the network whose connectivity is strong. Second solution is Open Battery Saver & see which app is consuming more battery. & accordingly, manage the use of that app. & also disable the background tasks of those apps which you don't use frequently. Doing this, you can get more battery life.

My first windows phone is lumia 535 but didn't luv it becoz it had touch screen issues. Shifted frm lumia 535 to lumia 640. The first thing I noticed is the awesome touch screen which Is way better than the lumia 535mobile. Though the phone appears bigger when compared to 535... Iam clearly loving this new 640.
Pros... Awesome touch sensitivity
Good display
Longer battery time
Good camera
N better processor compared to 535
All these criteria were met by 640
