Lumia 640 DS specifications are good and I had planned to buy it. But its pricing at 11,999 shows that MS is trying to make money here, nothing wrong from their point of view. And 640XL pricing is greedy.
But not many shall buy at these price points.
I would have bought 2 for 9,999 each today.
Now I am going to wait for MS to drop price or buy a Droid.

I've already read this phone is officially priced in around $140 but now it is being sold around $180. will the price drop in the following months?
I think $180 is a little expensive for this phone

Guys got the phone today. ive been using android for the last 3 yrs and have used a variety of phones including those with good hardware. yet the os hangs now n then...WP8.1 has really changed from its initial incarnation stage...right now i can say that it makes google's android look like a gimmick. my experience with lumia 640 ds has been wonderfull. and unlike the rumours there are plenty of good apps on WP store, may be less than that of android. but these will satisfy ur needs.im sure. its much more than android(lagdroid)

Hai guy.. To all the other lagdroid fans u r saying that thua phone is over priced.. Let me ask u one thing.. Check the processor chipset use in Lumia phones and on those cheap lagdroid phones..
U can c Qualcomm is use in Lumia ..which is the best for smartphones..
Cheap lagdroid use cheap quality mediatek chipset..which is worst of its kind.. Lagging,overheating,and less durable.. That's y they are able to low down the price.. Also in those cheap phones they wont use Zeiss optics cam..
But windows phone like 730,735,640 xl have Zeiss optics.. So u can take good quality pics..

Especially it's camera at this price range is unbearable.I wil definitely go for it, but 640 XL is much better especially for camera lover.So we have two option.All the best Microsoft keep it up.

the price is good I mean 180$ for these specs are worth ,the xperia m2 is 185$ and dont have the lumia 640 specs and dont forget that the price of M.S.L 640 will drop in one month or less

i was waiting for the phone for so long, i was about to buy lumia 535. but as soon as i came to know about this, i decided to wait for its launch in india.
but now it is way out of my budget, so i have to go for ms lumia 535. additionally if you analyse other similar category phones, you will find that lumia 640 is overpriced.

Hi Guys / Gals,
Don't buy the Lumia 640 . It was over priced for that specifications. If you are crazy about Microsoft products they go on bang us like this.
If you want them to correct their mistake, don't buy the phone until they come down with the price.
