BrianCoriour, 31 Jan 2022Microsoft is the only company that thinks like i do. Why no... moreThat's what i'm thinking! Now all it needs is a headphone jack and expandable storage. Boot loader should also be fully unlockable without disabled features.

Microsoft is the only company that thinks like i do. Why not do 2 seperate displays instead of 1 and have a crease and a plastic display that super easy gets dents and never goes away. Microsoft is the only company doing it right. If im getting a tablet/phone id get this over watever else is out i dont want my $2000 phone to have a plastic film literally the film they use its like those screen protectors that are like when smartphones literally became a thing or come shipped with a paper plastic that literally is like a sticker and then you have this mount everest in the middle of the screen. Sooo yea.

I recently bought the Surface Duo 2, 3 weeks ago and it is fantastic. The only thing I was concerned about is the phone's back, it is dull and scratches easily so I wrapped it with a pixels skin from Gadgetshieldz and now it looks so cool. Overall, I love the battery performance and the Phone performance is pretty good doesn't Overheat!

They needed to make a statement, they should have gone With a 6,000 mAh battery and 67w fast charging, and a 12gb ram/256gb and 12gb ram/512 gb option at this price range.

I actually think this thing is pretty sweet. It's like a pocket laptop. Even though I am a android guy I kinda wish this was more a full on windows phone reboot by Microsoft in a attempt to be relevant in smartphone space.

Microsoft needs to just make a real windows device like this and not try to emulate others. Apple did so with the Ipod , Iphone and Ipad and everyone mostly feels Microsoft owned the pc world with windows so why not focus on that ?

But still the updated hardware and software makes this phone next level to the original Dou.

Love to have one, still too expensive now. Perhaps next gen.
Question: Is camera bumper really necessary now adays? I hate it

The 2 screens management is extremely intelligent. In case you want to use just one screen it is so easy as open 360º the phone. The back screen stays in wait (it is very comfortable for calls). After aa time of inactivity it switches off. Either if you pick it two times or you bring it back to 180 deg it switches on alone. There are dozens of 2-screen gestures and mechanisms implemented and there are very few bugs.

The Surface Duo 2 is not perfect, but it is great to use - and could be even better if MS makes small changes (e.g. answering calls with the display closed by pressing a button, better battery management with WLAN and 5G switched on ...). It's real surface for writing and drawing with a pen! At the moment, Pixel 6 Pro, Xperia Pro-I etc. are not very attractive to me.

                        AnonD-930503, 26 Oct 2021The Main Question!? What's the use of second display? 🤣Simply Multi-tasking

No way I will go back to a single screen or foldable devices after using Surface Duo.

it is so ridiculous that an operating-system developer uses the operating system of its competitor

                              Single screen vs Double screen

Have often wondered, with these duo devices - when screen mirroring, with chromecast for example, does it give the option to only mirror one screen? Or does it always show both in a split-screen layout?

If windows based OS , i would have considered... Microsoft support for android is a big question mark.. Even the duo first gen support is so poor... this product is for which target market ??? still cant see it.. very vague

Got mine on October 21. Could never imagine going back to single screen phone. Love the screen sizes. Holds my pen magnetically. So versatile. I open an app with 2FA and open Authenticor on the other screen. Spanned Outlook is great. Email list on one side, open email on the other side. Spanned calendar is awesome for a week or month at a glance. No rotation needed. Kindle app feels likd reading a real book.

I still chuckle remembering how desperate Microsoft was trying to set up the 'third mobile ecosystem' with Windows phones, even acquiring Nokia to do that.

That ship has sailed, and it's not coming back.
