If windows based OS , i would have considered... Microsoft support for android is a big question mark.. Even the duo first gen support is so poor... this product is for which target market ??? still cant see it.. very vague

Got mine on October 21. Could never imagine going back to single screen phone. Love the screen sizes. Holds my pen magnetically. So versatile. I open an app with 2FA and open Authenticor on the other screen. Spanned Outlook is great. Email list on one side, open email on the other side. Spanned calendar is awesome for a week or month at a glance. No rotation needed. Kindle app feels likd reading a real book.

I still chuckle remembering how desperate Microsoft was trying to set up the 'third mobile ecosystem' with Windows phones, even acquiring Nokia to do that.
That ship has sailed, and it's not coming back.

I just bought duo 1 oct 2021. Got a great deal on a used one.
In recent yrs these are the phones I owned for at least 6 months each
Nokia windows phone
Iphone 6 plus
Zte Blade z max
Razer phone
Nubia Redmagic 3s
Samsung S10+
Sony Xperia 1
Believe it or not but the best experience I ve had is with the Duo. So far I personally haven't had any issues with my model. I can get more done period than any other phone. I have large hands and use in phone mode all the time. I make calls in front of the general public like nothing. The fact that I mainly use microsoft services also helps my case. It's not for everyone but for me it's the best phone over any other currently. "For Me" Better than Apple Google Samsung etc you name it. I will say the only negative is the camera is unacceptable. But I don't really use the camera for pictures mainly for video chats and for that it work great.

Hence the Surface Duo 2 has no 3.5mm earpiece jack. You can receive calls with the earpods without touching the phone. Microsoft Surface devices are designed for business people and not mass market. Some features which do not optimize productivity are not included. However it is good to see the caller and know if want to take the call.

The device is nice and looks convenient for use.
But same problem as for the first model still remains: the missing front small screen (when closed). Because you need to watch the screen even when closed. Imagine a super common case when the phone calls while one of your hands busy. You need to open it with two hands. And you don't even have a front screen to see who calls. Mission impossible with one hand... Call missed. If there was a front touch screen, even small, you could see who is calling and one hand answer it, without the frustrating complicated two-hands task.
Meaning - Microsoft engineers are not so good in understanding human engineering.

Make it with Windows + Android app support, more RAM, more battery life, real good heat spreading to avoid severe throttling, surface pen and then we’ll have something possibly worth the price.
For now it’s only technically superior in its hinge and software support/updates.

Never see people using this in the public, still people more using ipad or other tablet.

Just focus on the surface X and stop this bs, you make a 2 screens device and rely on android that is not even optimised for a normal tablet to make it work,

They need to put a stylus, edge to edge display and a power price point. It costs almost as much as the z fold 3 and this is not even a foldable. It's literally 2 s10s glued together with a modern flagship chip and 90hz
