More Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7 details leak

Vlad, 04 February 2025

Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 are expected to launch this summer, and today a tipster over on X has shared more details about what we can expect from them.

Both devices are allegedly getting larger vapor chambers than their predecessor, to help with heat dissipation. They are both getting a smoother and more durable hinge as well. The Fold7's display crease is apparently going to get much smaller - not fully gone, but almost.

The devices will launch running One UI 7.1, though it's unclear whether that will be based on Android 15 or Android 16 - since the latter is coming way earlier than usual this year and might actually be out before the Fold7 and Flip7.

Speaking of which, the Flip7 will have a 2,600-nit peak display brightness just like its predecessor. The Fold7's speakers have been updated, which we assume means they'll sound better. It's unclear if the Flip7's speakers will get the same treatment.

According to past rumors, the Flip7 and Fold7 will be priced exactly the same as their predecessors. The Flip7 is likely to be powered by Samsung's Exynos 2500 SoC while the Fold7 should go with the Snapdragon 8 Elite globally.

Lol, that sounds as if screen protector is used to enforce the screen itself. Kind of reminds me of those cheap garden tents, where clothing is used to actually support the fragile aluminum frame, not the other way around ;)

If that screen protector is not starting to bubble yes as you said those work good. Because easiest way to fix that bubbling of the screen protector is to just remove the screen protector but if it voids the warranty of very expensive phone........

They work just fine and last as long as slab, if you know how to use a foldable. 1. Dont smash it close or yank it open 2. keep it unfolded when charging and not carrying.
