Moto G7 Plus benchmarked on GeekBench

Enrique, 06 February 2019

Motorola’s Moto G7 Plus was just spotted on popular benchmarking app GeekBench. Earlier today, we also covered a huge leak of the entire Moto G7 lineup in official-looking renders. Today will be the last day of rumors since the phone will be announced at a launch event in Brazil.

The G7 Plus is running a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 and the benchmark appears with 4GB of RAM. The G7 Plus should be a bump in performance over the Moto G6 Plus, which ran a Snapdragon 630. The GeekBench Entry also revealed the phone is running Android 9 Pie so we can surely expect the latest Android version out of the box.

Previous leaks and rumors suggested the Plus variant would run a Snapdragon 636 but we now know this could be wrong. The non-Plus G7 was rumored to feature a Snapdragon 632 but now we can’t be too sure.

The G7 Plus is going to be announced tomorrow at a launch event in Brazil where Motorola will announce multiple G7 variants. The G7 Plus will have a 6.24-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD screen and a main 16MP camera paired with a secondary 5MP one. There’s an 8MP selfie camera inside of a tear-drop notch and a 27W TurboPower charger will top up its 3,000 mAh battery.

Check the other Motorola leak from today to see rumored specs for the other variants and be sure to check back with us tomorrow for coverage of the Moto G7 event.

At a premium mid-range price... so no as good or even not enough.

At this price, G7 Plus with OIS will eat RN7 Pro sales to a great extent. Well, if it is launched at $250 or Rs.16,000 I'll go for this.
