I just got my a1200 and it is great. I did need to contact T Mobile to set up T Zones and sms/mms, but works fine now. My only gripe is that the voice recognition is extremely poor. Considering that the phone can dial your entire address book via Voice rcognition, this is a big problem. Does anyone have suggestions concerning this matter?

    Hello All A1200 Owners:

I read a specification review on this phone. According to the specification, it stated that this phone do "handwriting and speech recognition". I am more interesting in the speech recognition function of the phone. I have had many pda/phones with QWERTY input. Since I have big hands, it find it very cumbersome to type e-mail on QWERT devices. I am thinking of getting voice recogniztion enable phone so that it can ditates my e-mail instead of having to type. Could you give me your feed back on your experiences the the A1200 and the speec recognization feature. Thank you in advance!

Just picked it up today. Great phone!!! I was gonna buy N80, but coz of the price difference, i picked this.... so much better than what i expected.... Perfect size for the ladies.... I have the white one. Glad i got this baby rather than N80 even though i had been waiting for the N80 since the day it was annouced....

I bought the MING last week, I like the phone, but the voicemail set up is junk. If I have a voice mail, the phone sends me a text message which is blank, it does't say "voice mail" then I check my voicemail and as soon as I hang up the phone, I get another blank message! Is there anyway to turn it off? The Manual doesn't say nothing about this. If anyone knows, I would greatly appreciate the help.

Newbie, just copy the file to your flash memory and dont put it in a folder. Put it in the root directory and the phone should pick up automatically when you lauch the longman software.

Hi Daryl, tks for the longman link. I have downloaded it to my PC and transfered the file via drag and drop to my Tflash card. But the phone cannot open the file? May I know the correct way? My A1200 does not have a file manager but only my favourites folder. Tks vm.

By the way, does anyone have the solution to disable the blank message everytime when you get a VOICEMAIL? It is a known problem and I am still looking for a solution. Thanks guys

This phone has the potential but Motorola kills it by not open sourcing the development kits. This way only Mototrola apps exist, there are no third-party or open source applications despite it's Linux based phone, never will be able to compete with the vast Symbian software library.

This is a great phone, lots of features. And there is a way to use the speaker phone with the cover closed.
