    i also bought an Atrix 2
    i'm from Sri lanka and updated the phone to ICS , i don't have any problem
    so i say you should buy this phone , it's very good
    specially after the ICS update it's good
    just make sure you update it to ICS correctly
    update to ICS before rooting or installing any apps then you should be fine i guess

              hi guys,
              I have a problem connecting to internet through gprs whenever i enable data usage on it wont connect to internet, m fed up of this problem, i have upgraded to ics. Internet connection fluctuates on its own.
              Do u guys have any solution for this??

                hi guys,
                I have updated my atrix2 to ICS, everything is ok for now, but when m using camera, m not finding option to turn off the shutter sound while taking pictures.
                Please if anyone knows the option do let me know.

                    Am using Atrix 2 past 7 months.I updated to ICS and I am using Vodafone connection now.I cannot send SMS after up-gradation.
                    Anyone please help me out to set this issue.

                      1st - If you;re still on android 2.3.6 and don't have a wifi router or a wifi hotspot nearby to update your device DON"T WORRY if you have a Laptop with a internet connection (ADSL/dongle) , Google search on HOW TO MAKE A WIFI HOTSPOT ON WINDOWS 7 , then create a wifi hotspot using your laptop and connect your Atrix 2 to that hotspot and it'll tell you that you're connected to a network but this's not a WIfi hotspot/network , don't worry , Just stay connected and go to
                      >settings
                      >about phone
                      >check for system update
                      1st time it might say it's not possible , just click okay and try again (if your wifi hotspot is working propperly you'll get the ICS update and click download :) ) that;s it , your ICS can be installed right away after it's downloaded ,

                      PS- you cannot browse internet using your laptop wifi hotspot , you can only get updates

                      >> Don't say this doesn't work cause if my atrix 2 did it so can yours :)

                      and ICS > No matter what anyone says , just update your device without thinking twice cause it's so awesome , so much better than 2.3.6 ,
                      No lagging , faster phone , smooth animations , smooth texture quality , improved display quality , Nice icons and widgets , Everything is very well optimized and so good , I don't know how some people got into troble after the ICS update , but a lil advice > backup all your apps and data into the memory card or something else and then factory reset the phone and perform the update , then nothing can go wrong cause it's like you're updating a stock android phone

                      that's how i did it and my phone is super fast and super smooth after the ICS update
                      about 450MB of ram is being used by system apps now and i have about 430MB ram available ,
                      you can always root and freeze some of the system apps and get more ram

                      ALL I'M SAYING IS THAT ATRIX2 IS SUCH A GOOD PHONE AND IF YOU WANT THE BEST EXPERIENCE OUT OF IT , JUST GO FOR THE ICS UPDATE (WITH FULL BATTERY AND AFTER A FACTORY RESET ).

                      JUST TELLING WHAT'S BEST >i won't responsible for anything you do with your phone .

                        You MUST insert a memory card first if you want to use the internal memory
                        I know it's not cool but that's the way it is
                        Just insert a 1 GB card there and you'll get the 4.5 GB too :)

                          Well, I've updated to the ICS OTA for AT&T. So far so good. Interface and scrolling is just as smooth as before IMO. I love the almost stock android look of it, and how all roads lead to "settings".

                          However, I notice the battery life to have seriously degraded.
                          Provider signal has been terrible lately. So I hope that was the cause. But I've also noticed that according to quadrant the CPU is now clocked at 1.2 GHz. Is this a mistake or is it because of the updated kernel?

                                I believe JB update is available samsung galaxy advance.. So now i am confused atrix 2 or samsung GA.. Since it is of same price and specs.. Pls advice..

Actual prob is difficult to detect. lot of factors can cause prob. but after using this phone for 5 months and after upgrading it to ICS i can say phone is really very gud.
