I think Motorola have turned a corner with this phone. It is extremely stylish and seems to have a good spec. I do so hate all the negative comments about Motorola. Begs the question, why are you viewing their products if you don't like them. For me, Motorola has been the most reliable cell phone device typem I have had. Whilst I had the appalling RAZR V8, all the other Motorolas have been first class. I know have the ROKRE8 and finds it is perfect. It does exactly what is is supposed to.
In the Aura, I think that Motorola have a new classic on their hands. I will definately buyit. I recall Motorola had a similar model about 6 yrs ago. Similar style round screen with white on black fonts. But this one looks like it is well crafted and will give a long life to its user.
Bring it on!

Why no 3G since moto ... moreSo a BMW 7-series can cost so much and have so many features...but it can nevery carry 7 passngers (or being as reliable!) as a Honda Stepwagon or Odyseey.
Don't think you're comparnig apples with apples.

vaiodlna, 25 Oct 2008hey naga, you said that this phone made from scratch resista... moreDon't know how many times I need to say this, for those who can (easily) afford this phone, chances are they are NOT features hungry folks like most of us here!
For those who can afford this phone, chances are they already have plenty of assitances to do their jobs. A phone for them is to simply make and recieve phone calls, nothing more, nothing less.
Because if functions speak for everything, why so many people buy all these other brands of watches over Casio? (no offense to any brand, as I've always weared a multi-function Citizen watch)

So uh... what exactly is the function of the swiveling part? The phone is practically fine without it! And don't tell me it's for keypad cover, yes obviously that's why it's there, but that's bull!!!

Why no 3G since moto ... more"The round screen just means that the j2me apps will be rare because of the custom porting required."
Obviously you haven't looked into this phone, Java games can be played on a 320x240 rectangle inside the circle, no custom porting required.
Why don't you do a little bit of research before making such statements.
This is a fashion phone like the Nokia 8800's or Vertu, which don't do as much as other phones.

Motorola Aura: the reincarnation of the Motorola V70. And just like V70, it is destined to meet its demise, expectedly, that is.
