But then I don’t question why pay 100k on a car when you can get 5star fully loaded Kia for 20k? Product like this are meant for upper market segment…not like Apple or G1.

It wont be for everyone like Apple. and thats very good for some of us! Its going to be about 1500 to 2000 for its costly crafty material.Since almost everyone, even my maids, keeps apples and those touch boxes, I would for sure want somehting extra ordinary and unique beauty. At this cost I am sure those who eats apples wont be able to match this orange. and I love to eat orange.

i don't know about when it will get launched..but i can tell you the price of this cell it will cost you upto 7-8 thousands......!! not that good phone as lookwise it is cool...!!

No ... it really doesn't have anything as a phone , but 8800 ( carbon or saphirre) has many things for people who want the mid of luxury and features . there isn't any reason to buy this product .( these are just my opinions ! )

The way a phone looks is quite important to alot of people, as they pick their phones based on looks. As most things you want your house to look good, your car etc... so people want their phone to represent them and look good.
Your not going to get a phone that looks like a dead rodant are you? I rest my case.
Btw this phone looks good and i think it might be a good seller when it is realesed.

Arrgghh! Why no WiFi?!! It's a MUST nowadays. No GPS can be forgivable but the absence of WiFI?!.. I can't take it anymore. Why Moto always a step lags behind others? An 'A' for Stylish, but an 'F' for functionality.

Why is this phone expensive. It's a piece of junk (NOT BASHING THIS BRAND!) compared to other phones that are out now. Why should people have to pay $2000 for a 2GB, no 3G, 2MP camera cellphone? Is the "stainless steel housing with chemically etched textures" and "assisted-opening blade mechanism with carbon carbide coated main gears" making the price so high? I for one have no idea why it's so expensive. Could someone please explain????

Revival of motoroto.. good specification hower the earlier verion was much more slick n sexy to hold n have.. again a very girly phone to go with the red shopping bag.

I dont like the design, but if you look at what its made off. Sounds very good.
(for the Dutch people under us, check www.mobilecowboys.nl for a short revieuw of te phone, it makes the phone looks even better, they go more into some specs). Ive read somewhere that the phone is gonna cost around €2000,- or $2000.-.
Thats quite a lot!

Um, do you live in a cave? 'Cause that's the only way I can see what you're saying making sense. In your train of thought, you would then have to agree with this as well: "a car is just a means of transportation, so the look of the car is irrelevant", or "clothing is just a way of keeping your body warm, so how it looks doesn't matter"... Please try to get into your skull that the look of whatever product is completely relevant in one way or another, and if people only cared about practical we would be walking around in animal furs driving fiat multipla's. By the way, if you wear raw animal hide and drive a multipla, I rest my case ;)
