All I wanted was a basic phone with VERY GOOD battery life - Nokias just couldn't cut it. I bought the C139 after much googling and am very happy. There was a learning curve with the keypad menus etc after so many years with Nokia but it eventually became 2nd nature. Excellent no frills phone with good reception & sound quality and AWESOME battery life.

This is the most ridiculous phone i've ever seen. I hardly receive calls or send messages by it. still it gets dead every month and has got to be replaced from the manufacturer time and again.
Disastrous and Sick Phone. It should be thrown to HELL. It has no place on this earth. Cheap Motorola People.... Manufacturing So Cheap Phones like this!

I am going off on a eurotrip and i dont want to feel guilty if i lose a phone coz ive lost 2 phones before, well 1 lost and other stolen. So i want to know if it has the features i want, well does it??
-easy fast SMS, no lagging

I just bought a motorola c139 and I think it's realy cute and practical it has the main tools we need every day. I was surprised with the cost because it really isn't much, the only thing I don't like is that it does not have a variaty of cool ringtones and you can't download things, but I think is a good choise.
-pliz if you know something about the nokia smart messages can you write. thanks

Incredibly durable phone. I've dropped it two stories onto concrete, into water, you name it, this phone has been through it all and it still works. A lot of my friends are on their 2nd and 3rd razor phones. Yes, razors are cool looking with lots of nice features, but I'm not going to shell out $200 every time it breaks to buy a new one. Even if mine ever breaks I'll just go to Walmart and pay the $18.88 for a new one and put my SIM card in it.

I have the motorola c139 as a back up and it proves to be an excellent phone. It's inexpensive and sounds very clear. I would definately recommend this phone...

I also have this phone as a back-up. A real little gem. Strong, sturdy and well put together with very good battery life. No creaking after numerous drops. I like it even more coz it's motorola. They remain the undisputed kings of low-cost handsets.

Got this as a temporary broken phone replacement for 20 dollars. I put in my Cingular SIM from the old phone and it works perfectly. Calls are clear and the battery life is excellent. No fancy ring tones or features to be found here but this phone is a great basic performer.

I like my Motorola C139. Simple, small, inexpensive (IOW Cheap)... My biggest problem with it is that every month it resets itself to the factory settings. The worst thing is that everytime it resets itself I loose all the newly inputed contacts and their numbers and info. My alarm sets gone. My tone sets gone. I know I'm not the only one with this problem. Can somebody help me Please!! Thanx.

I have a C139 that is the locked version, even so I find that the phone is absolutely outsanding, it is simple to operate and th battery life in the specifications is 100% correct. I highly recommend this phone to anyone interested in this model.
