HII.. My new defy+ hav some battery prob. i'm charging two times a day.. just used 3g for half n hr n some applications Battery is getting down quickly.. I'm weird.. any solutions for dat or shall i exchange it.. yr opinion pls,,

AnonD-1267, 05 Feb 2012I have heard some things about Motoblur and personal inform... moreI could give you a huge list of faults in the Motoblur UI, widgets and apps on the phone which means you are better off replacing almost all of it anyway.
There are many features that you get by only setting up a Motoblur account. The Motoblur principal of not giving you full functionality unless you agree to let them have or your personal information which they then track and sell for profit (same as Google) is nothing short of a scam! (but then everyone on here has a facebook account so they probably don't care about that).
Even the manual makes it sound like you have to create a Motoblur account and that is unethical.
Considering I have things backed up through other means I don't want Motorola to hold my SMS and e-mail. Imagine you lose your phone overseas and go to an Internet cafe and log into your Motorola account to remove your phone data so it can't be stolen ... your Motoblur password then gets key logged and you lose much more (including the data that would have been on your phone anyway).
IMO Motoblur offers little in good functionality. It's just an additional security risk. It's just an additional intrusion on your life.
I own a Defy+ because I like the hardware. I don't use Motoblur widgets and I don't have a Motoblur account. My screens have been personalised and look beautiful. The UI and software is functional and productive for my needs.
Note hardware design of my Defy+ I love but the build quality makes me think it was assembled by retarded squirrels and tested by a dead hamster.

queen, 09 Feb 2012i m confused within this DEFY+, samsung galaxy w, please suggestI compared both and the deciding factor for me was that the Galaxy W has bad reviews for having a dim screen with very poor contrast.
Ironic that when Samsung don't use AMOLED technology they make a device with poor contrast.

HI I just bought my defy +.. wen ever i shake the mobile sound is coming like ( tak tak ) wen I pressed the battery cover sound wont come.. I asked my retailer n he said dat every defy + have dis same problem.. n finally discovered its from battery n panel..
Is IT TRUE?? YOu GUYS HAV SAME PROBLEM?

Defy+ has exposed screws on the sides. On exposure to salt water or sweat, will the screws be corroded?
Is ther any chance of this happening?

I've a strange problem with my Defy + when ever i connect headphones and listen to music it kills the music player app after 2-3 minutes. i've tried this with Seinhieser, Motorola bluetooth headset and couple more....any guesses how do i fix this. i've brand new set of headfones.

You are comparing with Lumia 800. while the original poster asked for Lumia 710, which is at the same price as Defy+.

i seriously doubt if motorola gives ics update for this. And also i think cyanogenmod is not going to give support for this handset because the chipset for this phone is outdated. but in case if we get ics this would be a fantastic midrange handset.
