Hi! I'm 13 and i have this phone. i love it! processing speed is great and its truly rugged... i dropped it in water, sand... and of course on concrete multiple times :D. if you want to buy it, buy it, because it is great

Zh, 10 Jan 2012Hey... how did you manage to get the OTA firmware upgrade..... moreOTA upgrade services have been discontinued from Motorola in India. So, you need to visit nearest Motorola Authorized Service Centre to get the same upgraded from Android OS 2.3.4 to 2.3.6 version.

How is it possible that people have the 2.3.6 update? I have been trying to update via OTA from 2.3.4 and the phone is telling me that it already has the latest software update? !
Also a word of advice, for those of you with the JCB EDITION, *DO NOT* factory reset without backing up the JCB app as a factory reset will wipe it from the phone.
There is a really usefull file manager app called andro zip on the market place which will let you back up apps.

A quick question to Defy+ users : can this rugged beast snaps a picture when submerging into water? SE Xperia active can do as such knowing that they have shutter button. Thanks.

Perfect pick for price but browsing internet drains battery very soon. Only checking updates on internet would last for a day or two.
It had social widget which is just awesome and of-course the Moto UI.
I'm not able to delete MotoBlur twitter account even after revoking access from twitter account ... a real headache ...
Last but not least the IP67 certification.. scratch, dust and water proof ..

Woops. You can bring up a menu by long holding on the message (can't find that in the manual though) and choosing to 'Resend unsent messages' (um oxymoron).
Did not work the other day when I was attempting to do so on three messages but I stand corrected the standard SMS functionality can resend.
Still not using default message system now as there is no carriage returns in SMS and there is no option to preview more of the message by removing the grey heads.

just got it few days back.loving every moment of it.was installed with GB2.3.4, OTA 2.3.6 immediately then ROOTED it.wohaaa...app memory for user abt 1.1GB out of the box.signal strength great!!voice quality GREAT!size of mobile,just fit nicely in my Asian hand.Weight is light enough to carry on my trouser pocket.Value for money...rumours it be getting ICS..praying..praying...

i hav bought this phone one month back....its really good...battery backup was the thing for which i was confused...but after use i found it lasting for 2 days easily after playing games for 2-3 hours per day along with surfing and other daily tasks.......m enjoying it....
