i have a question about froyo update.
yes it will be updated in Q2 2011: europe, middle east, asia, and US is catching up later.
but what defy version which gonna get froyo? just defy with motoblur or defy without motoblur? or both of them..?

i concern about this because in indonesia it will be released without motoblur.

thank you...

xelebryo, 08 Feb 2011Hi guys. Could any owner of Defy tell us about the battery ... more1.No Motoblur in Cosmote, Germanos and Internity until now. They sell the Asian / Jordanian version (see Motorola site for specifications and owner guide). Battery life depens on the data traffic. You can find motoblur on some internet offers. 2. With no data traffic and just phone the battery life is- 2-3 days.

i want to buy an android device and confused between motorola defy , galaxy ace(cooper) . i trust samsung , the comany and defy , the product . defy has old 2.1 , relatively poor battery life but great screen size and resolution to compensate . it has android 2.1 but internal memory of 2gb to compensate . samsung has experience and more succesful technology in android phones . ace is cheaper too . one thing i hate about 2.1 android is that u cant disconnect phone using power button .i would be obliged if anyone can tell me an appliation that can make it happen. i am a heavy net user, can defy run a full day with heavy use .help

hi. i just bougt a moto defy and it's the best phone i ever had. i am a nokia fan but i wos bored of symbian so i got an android phone. the defy is great but the battery life is short, about a day of normal use (e-mail, messenger, and about an hour of calls), not the best (on my nokia 5800 i used to get 5 days of battery life). the disply is great, no lag what so ever, and motoblur is great with 7 home-screens, which are fully customisable. The other thing i hate about motorola is that there is no romania on their map, i tried to make an acount on their website but the country is mandatory on their acount form but ther's no romania. And becouse of that i'm worried that i won't get the froyo update.

This one looks like a real hottie:3,7" wide screen of FWVGA resolution, very thin and sleek bezel, very good cpu/ram/onboard memory/connectivity..
But what about fro-yo?Is it coming for Defy or this will be the case of another device like XT720 not getting any update?

Hi guys. Could any owner of Defy tell us about the battery life? I used to be a WinMo fan but I think it's time to get an Android, and this Moto might be the right choice for me. But first of all I would like to know something about the battery life with a normal and a hard usage. Thanks! And if there is someone from Romania reading this I would like to know if in our country it's sold with Motoblur.

defy is cheapest android with 3.7 inch display negatives being tft screen (rather than amoled as in other high end phone or superclear lcd as in wave2)and no secondary video calling camera.
wave 2 is cheapest non- android with 3.7 inch super clear lcd display that matches amoled in most aspects except amoled has supersaturated colours.wave 2 looks are killing major limitation being less number of applications bada has ( vs android).
