Suren, 30 Jan 2011No Video Call facility in this phone and internal memory is... moreNo front cam? How many Android phone offers front cam? And how many people you see actually use it?

The video call technology is over 6 years old and Motorola first offered it in 2004, why nobody ever cared until iphone 4?

Over 1GB internal storage is not enough? I "grew up" with 150mb on most Android 2.1 phones...which ran out of space really fast. Though I have installed all the apps from my previous Android phones into my Defy and now I still have plenty of space left. Plus once it gets upgraded to 2.2, App2SD will be possible.

help , 30 Jan 2011hi friend please help me i want buy one phone : d... moreDefy will be (if not already in some markets) upgraded to Android 2.2, while XT701/720 will be stuck with 2.1 (likely forever).

I do own all: Defy/XT701/XT720. Other than the better cam on XT720, I don't see any reason to get any XT over Defy.

Where I live Defy is actually about US$12 LESS than XT720, while Defy runs much faster than XT720 with much more internal memory (for apps....)

                    Final words

We’ve always known Androids to be friendly creatures. And the Motorola DEFY gives us no reason to think otherwise. The whole rugged thing is purely for self defense – protection from the elements. And the best thing is it’s tough but doesn’t look it. Compact and friendly, young and social, this is a smartphone that’s likely to enjoy strong demand. It looks more and more a smart move from Motorola not to put too much emphasis on ruggedness. After all, why would they want to place themselves in a niche, when they can go for the whole midrange instead?

The Motorola DEFY is the right phone for the young – it’s not charging a fortune and is good enough at most of what it does. It’s got good media and a complete connectivity set – the Motorola DEFY will even throw in a couple of surprise perks like a capable music player and the Phone Portal app.

It’s a good phone for the price – but obviously not without its flaws. The first thing to consider is the OS release. Though there’s still a good number of droids running Eclair, updates are being rolled out as we speak. Motorola are not committing to any specific timing and that’s doing the DEFY no favor. With Froyo, the phone would’ve been really hard to resist. Next on the list of dislikes, the still camera could’ve been better and video capture is nothing to write home about either. Smart dialing would’ve been welcome too.

                            6. Should have good Social networking applications.
                            7. should have good web browser.

                                    Just clarifying your points

You said defy has 512 mb of ram so has wave -no difference

Don't come price both are priced same may be defy is cheaper in your country not mine

Far better gps solutions (how can you say that both have same)
Free gps for 3 months and after that what you will be going to do so its not a big deal

DLNA what's the use of it

Lot more social(why wave doesn't allow access to twitter,fb etc)

                                    Better music quality
I except that the loudspeaker of wave is not good as compared to defy but the sound in earpiece is same infact wave scores more in that

                                    Better descent design
Seems like you have seen it only from the front ,take a 360 degree view and see the side surface specially the nails fitted on both sides and just one thing wave has mettalic body and a good finish so don't compare it with defy

Defy 800 mhz processor scores more than 1ghz of wave
What is this dude ,seems like forcefully you have written it just check out the review of defy at engadget.com they have written that defy lags at some point and processor would have been somewhat better

And don't miss out tv-out option in wave ,slcd screen
