The Kobe does have a PowerVR SGX 530 GPU, the defy doesn't..it has NO dedicated GPU so it will, so that everybody may understand this now, NOT perform as good as the Kobe, the Galaxy S etc within this benchmark or any graphic-heavy benchmark. Sure it's possible to calculate faster than older 1Ghz if you exclude graphics.

it's like comparing on-board graphic-cards from Intel Anno 2007 with high-end cards by Nvidia or ATI Anno 2010. You will not be able to play crysis on the on-board one with full details, while you could (if the rest of your PC is good enough) with a card of named producers.

Get this right once and for all: NO 2D/3D accelerator in the Defy because of OMAP 3610 CPU, A good 2D/3D accelerator in the Kobe because of OMAP 3440 or 3630 (like the link mentioned) and many many other mobile phones released within the last 2 years.

And again i will buy this phone because i will keep the mobile gaming to devices that can actually display 3D-graphics.

100 Moto, 17 Sep 2010So my guess you have actually used the phone and evaluated ... moreI don't hate moto, my last 2 phones were moto AND I WILL BUY THE DEFY YOU "INSERT RANDOM INSULT" because of the outdoor capabilities And that's what i'm talking about when i say the performance is probably worse, that we have to wait for benchmarks, which i already wrote on several blogs + youtube. Great heh ?

BUT the specs INDICATE that it will perform worse WITH GAMES, which i couldn't test on IFA obviously. (gasp yes i held it in my hands). Jeez .Other than that i said absolutely nothing but the obvious letdowns even you can't deny.

i don't understand the Oprah statement because well nobody cares about her outside the US, but she probably promotes it because Moto wanted to promote it and it's cheaper to give away.
