I have always loved Droid, never had a major problem with any of the phones. This one has not been as impressive as the Turbo 1, definitely not worth the price. The screen is great, truly tough to the max, but after just 6 months one of my lower front facing speakers has blown as well as the telephone speaker. The battery doesn't hold charge well at all anymore, and the port has to be angled just right to charge it. The camera is just sad compared to other flagship phones of the time. It's still a very fast phone though. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be getting another Droid, at least not until they improve greatly.

When purchased in 2016 via Big Red, it was a capable phone. Back then it had a better than average camera capabilities and it's stock dialer and contacts apps are great. However, 11 months into ownership, I noticed that the device was running though battery at a faster pace than usual. As I use it extensively in the car, I purchased a higher amp car charger. At month 13, the device refused to charge up or hold a charge. Being an advanced Android user, I can attest to the device as not having been compromised by any type of malware or a battery-sucking app. Verizon Wireless store personnel were unhelpful in getting the issue resolved, as they were unfamiliar with troubleshooting this type of issue. Their in-store device health check software passed the device, including the battery. Putting the device on a quick charge connection resulted in the device not recognizing the charger type. There is no case on the phone so the difference between wired and wireless charging should not be affected at all.
I had to contact Lenovo support overseas to see if they could solve the issue. Level 2 support did not have any ideas beyond what had been tied thus far, including a factory reset. Since the phone was out of warranty, I was basically looking at spending what the phone is worth to swap it out with another Turbo 2. This reminded me of a time when my mother's Cadillac was three days out of its factory warranty, while she was on a road trip, the passanger window fell into the door gap and the antenna would not go up and down. In her case, the dealer fixed everything for free, as she had been a long time customer. What I received from Verizon and Lenovo for having been with them (formerly Motorola) for over 12 years was not being afforded the courtesy of a reach around. I have had nothing but Motorola phones since back to the first Razr. The fact that the factory reset performed by the store wasn't necessary and resulted in me losing some important files (I wasn't thinking at the time), and the fact that onsite support is pretty clueless, and that Lenovo doesn't stand by their products, is what prompted me to go to Pink with a Samsung S7 Edge. Clearly this phone is far superior to the Turbo 2, the plan I signed up for is a fraction of what I was getting at Red, and it's unlimited everything. I qualified for Business Class too, which means I now have a better service venue through which to get issues resolved than what the little people must endure. I've had other issues with Red in their stores before, as well as definitely apparent other outraged customers, whereas my dealings with Pink have been the complete opposite. I liked the experience so much that I combined our family's plans all under mine and it amounts to a fraction of the cost more than what it was worth me flying solo at Red. So, not only comparing the Turbo 2, but all other Droid branded phones under Red's roof, I feel everything should be compared to other carrier's offerings and plans as well. Considering what Red charges to finance the Turbo 2 against the S7E (a few bucks less per month), the cost of comparable plans and the customer service offered should all be worked into the final decision of whether to go with any Droid branded phone. You might want to take into account that the Droids can't be rooted, whereas the S series can, and not to mention, the Droid can't be taken to other carriers for a bring your own device switch (in the USA).

DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bought it, was good for month 1, month 2-4: the charger wouldn't work properly to the point that no angle would give it a charge, month 5: started using a wireless charger that I WAS FORCED TO BUY (THEY PROBABLY KNEW THE PORT WOULD SNAP IN HALF!), month 6-present: phone battery lasts less and less as the wireless charger over heats the battery more and more. I am not a fan of Apple, but this experience makes me want to throw my phone out the window, smash it, and buy a cheap iPhone 4 or 6. My phone carrier salesperson *coughverizoncough* even said this would last a long time even if I was on it constantly...

This phone has serious issues. bought 2, one for business and one for personal. personal has issues with phone, clearly hardware, hundreds of fine lines and distortion across the screen and pictures on a random basis. Business one will not power off, cannot turn on wifi, one screen says airplane mode is on when it's off. Will NOT buy another of these.

Done, 28 Oct 2015Is this international or only in usa? This phone has a great camera. However, my phone had a poor microphone in the handset and poor audio on calls. The screen is not as clear as the phone that replaced it an LG V20. I had the phone replaced once, and the new phone had all the same defects. Will not buy another Lenovo product.

This is a horrible phone for the reason that the first one I had, green line on the screen, the second brand new out of the box turned on and off until it died, the third one I had was when I noticed the Bluetooth and calling issue and after asking and being told I could switch phones I was told to buy out my contract or pay $99. Why would I pay extra for a product that is not working properly? So I sent the phone back hoping for working Bluetooth and NOPE it's software and tech support said it has to be an app on the phone causing the issue, which from all the complaining is a lie. So I've been stuck a phone that constantly cuts in and out of Bluetooth and calling people is just a struggle because no one can clearly hear me. I take very good care of electronics and like I said after 4 phones and no help I'm basically paying $700 plus insurance for a half working device. Super annoying but I suppose this is how the world works.

Picked it some months ago. People complaining and all ignore them.
Treat your mobile carefully and this mobile rocks.
Great camera speed nugat update perfectly charging and everything is smoooooooth. Screen on time i get is 6hours to 430 hours. Amazing mobile. And shatter proof is a win win.
Make sure u study dt2 weaknesses. Turbo charger will kill your battery as it heats the battery. Use Turbo charger at minimum or emergency. I am using normal nokia Samsung chargers and it takes time to charge but it runs smooth with great battery timings.
There is a green line issue in screen also iv heard. Avoid squeezig the mobile screen also.
Mobile is GREAT.

The turbo 2droid is junk! Mine is a year and a half old. Shuts off for no reason and nobody will stand behind the product. I still owe $185 on the thing and I have to pay it.. Some company that suggest you get insurance on there product.... Would you buy somthing that suggests you pay extra for insurance? I wouldn't and now there product fails and they don't care.

Professor 4, 07 May 2017My Droid Turbo 2 Max worked great until Verizon update to 7... moreWhat about the turbo charge? Has that stopped working for you? After last update mine totally stopped working and Motorola or Verizon won't take responsibility. Now it takes 8 hours just to charge to 92%.

I hate this phone! It worked really good until last update. With the last update the turbo charge stopped working. I plug my phone in when I go to bed and 8 hours later it still isn't at full charge. In fact, once it reaches 92% it stops. Don't even try to use the phone while it's plugged in because that just drains the battery. I've sone a favor reset, cleared the cache....and nothing. The beat part is, this happened right after my one year was up so Motorola won't do anything! Keep up the good work, Motorola!

Bought this phone new a year and a half ago. Works like new. Never had a single problem with it. I often get 3 days out of the battery. Couldn't imagine having a camera with less than 21MP. This is my first smart phone. So glad I waited. I am a software developer and know how to keep a device working well.
Long live the Droid Turbo 2 and Windows 10!!
