LumieXL, 15 Sep 2013RE: only 10 megapixels: HTC's latest offering only has 4 m... moreI agree with you, man. For me, I have 5+ GB of music and 45+ GB of videos and series. But it's not like I'm gonna need all those files with me everytime and wherever I go! During trips, I transfer some unwatched movies or series episodes on my device from my major storage (company laptop) because that'll be the time I know I'm gonnan have time to watch. Aside from that, microSD cards are also prone to damage. My friend's microSD card just recently got problems and his tablet was unable to read it.

Sorry for saying this but I really can't understand storage junkies. I think they're not maximizing their resources. I'm not even using cloud services.

This is week number 3 with the ULTRA so far so good. The phone is very snappy on bootup and web browsing, the X8 mobile computing platform is amazing.I'm not having the battery issues people are describing here. I have my screen to auto brightness and use the task manager to close everything out when I finish using the phone.I have used the phone since 6:00am this morning it is 7:39pm US Central ,and I have 26% battery life left. The build quality of this phone is second to none, almost a seamless design. The storage issue for me is solved by Google Drive cloud service, I am automatically billed $5.00 a month for 100GB,so if you keep the internal memory cleaned up 16GB should be plenty,I haven't hit the email overload yet. I highly recommend this phone to anybody esp someone that really appreciates quality build materials and precision design inside and out.

Not everyone carries Wireless Routers around with them when they're travelling.

LumieXL, 15 Sep 2013RE: only 10 megapixels: HTC's latest offering only has 4 m... moreWould you care to discuss access and transfer rates differentials between a class 10 micro sd card and VZW's 4g ( when you can get it) or a wifi connection provided one is near an access point.
There are more items to store on the sd card than music. All movies, pictures, apps (along with state data (game progress) should be stored on an SD card. This data is now portable.
Please do not underestimate the degree of privacy that you lose when storing ANY data at someone else's site (eg: "cloud" or what ever marketing buzz word is in vogue today), especially the likes of either Google or Amazon. I recently completed installing a Map Reduce environment,Hadoop, at our laboratory. Hadoop provides the ability to chew through, sort and collate PB of diverse data in short order. If anyone routinely stores data on a public google site, google will know more about you than you do.

Very disappointed that Google has removed the micro SD slot.
I hope others will express their disappointment as well.

AnonD-77892, 31 Jul 2013yucks!!! 10MP in the year 2013? RE: only 10 megapixels: HTC's latest offering only has 4 megapixels, but they get an image that's competitive with Nokia's 43 megapixel camera by using a larger image sensor. There's so much more to an images uality than the number of pixels.

RE: no SD card slot: The most popular reason for extra storage is for music and movies, but Google's running free cloud services that this phone accesses like a dream. Why store it on your portable media if you can store it in their cloud and download it as needed? My music collection is over 96GB and I'd need 64GB internal storage plus a 64GB SD card to carry it all. But as it's ~20,150 songs, with duplicates, I can keep the entire thing on my Google Play account without any problems and without using a single byte of storage (except for caching). Welcome to the future, try using the new technology we have, it's wonderful.

(I know some people are against the cloud because of privacy issues. I don't see how music violates this. Also, i get your data plan may not support downloading all the time. That's what wifi is for.)

jwfk, 17 Aug 2013What a stupid decision to release such a beautifully design... moreMoto has always had SD-slots and used Transflash (Micro SD) long before anyone else.

However, now that Google is in charge there's no moe SD slot. That wouldn't be so bad if it had larger internal memory. At least 32GB for this version, and 64GB for the MAXX version.

Better than ... moreThis phone naturally scores a 20000 on Antutu Pro and shows that capability in real life function. I don't even feel the need to root it to speed it up. THE ONLY complaint I have is the battery's longevity. It's way better than than the S3 I had and beats the iPhone 5 into the ground... and the 4G is WICKED FAST. GAMES PLAY WITHOUT A HITCH.
