Hi guys, i found this great site that gives a comparison of picture quality taken by both K700 and E398. The website is in Chinese and is a bit slow to load. But please be patient and you will be able to see the picture comparison of these two great phones.

Hi guys, anybody has tried uploading mpeg4 videos into the e398? Any idea if the video playback is smooth or jerky?

Correct. no infrared. But the USB synch (fastest) and the Bluetooth (wireless!!) more than makes up for it. You can sit in your living room while your computer is in the bedroom, and transfer files. Cant do that with IR!
sean392-
I dont have the k700, so I cant compare picture quality. BUT, the cam on the E398 is very good. You can adjust the BRIGHTNESS of the image, and you can even adjust the EXPOSURE. It has preset white balance lighting conditions (you can set to Auto, Sunny, Cloudy, Indoor Home, Indoor Office, Night). Also RESOLUTION and SHUTTER TONE.
398-
Yes, the "flash" on this camera is like the ones on most: its not a real camera "flash" but more of a flashlight that stays on.

The camera is 300k and yes the flash stay on as long as we didn't off it.The brightness of the photos can be adjusted as well. You don't need the flash in a well lighted condition.Picture quality are quite good actually. As 4 the mp3 it really played superb sounds.Got it a week a ago and loved it.

canderous,
agreed that this phone is pretty costly in Singapore. The cheapest I found is S$598 (GST inclusive) at MoblieSquare without line and it is a local set. Went to a few shops to try out the phone. was particularly impressed by its MP3 quality over the headset. In fact, the quality is better than the MP3 player i am currently using. If u r using it primarily for its MP3, I will say go for it and u will not regret. I am hoping that the price will drop further but it seems that it has stablised at S$598.
