Yes it does support chinese character. Go to message, go to quick note to change the language. As for which one is better, read all the user opinions, you will get an answer from there, for me E398 is better, cheap and good.

the phones seems good except not having video recording. plz have a question. how many SMS can the phone carry? also do the additional memory prepared only for MP3 or alsp pictures? what about the quality of pictures? have anyone idea about Sagem My X7?

There is a red dotted pixel in my e398's display from the very first day i bought it. i recently flashed it to 99R and GIKE but the red dot is still in its place. Is there any way to get rid of this annoying red dot?

Hey Saket,
go to a nokia web site and download a software called Nokia Multimedia converter 2.0
it's pretty big. around 17 MB. but it will convert all your videos to .3gp format and play them in your phone with sound. no hassles. i reckon u use that s/w. i have the s/w you tried too. same result for me. video playback with no sound. so u download the one i mentioned. it'll take a while but it's worth it.
apart from tht thr's one other thing i need to ask. do any of u guys know how to download themes and games on to this phone and get them to work? i've tried some wap sites but they don't work on the phone. do i have to download something for this too?
i'd really appreciate any help...

well juz bought this awsome phone yesterday. very cool, with the mp3 function. the camera consider ok. well i use bluetooth to send mp3 to my phone from pc much easier n with the card memory i got about 20 songs in my phone n my card still got 10mb spare for pic n video. sound quality very good. important part is this phone consider cheap n value for money n this model changed my view bout motorola. SE sorry, now i prefer motorola

i have only had this phone for two days and already ithink it's one of the best phones that motorola have made it like a mp3 player, camer and phone put together if you young or old reccomend this phone for you

Can anyone help me? What does it mean by disconnect USB cable from memory card to phone ? Even i install the USB Cable also stated the same thing...
