Under FileMgr, use the stylus to hold on to the file you want to delete. This will open up another dialog box whereby you can delete this file. If you click on the menu at the bottom right corner, the only option you'll have it Delete All.
Not very user friendly.....Think we should gang up and tell Motorola to release a firmware upgrade for this phone which allows users to delete a range of selective file rather than DELETE ALL or delete one file at a time.

u sure your bluetooth in stanby mode or not?if not in standby mode,how come can pairing,read the b.tooth user guied first.

just bought this unit and HS850 BLUETOOTH from singapore yesterday. i am in u.s.a. i am having problem to do pairing. i am not able to see this device in the list. can someone help me? also, plse tell me how can i delete just one file. thanks!

Does anyone know of a web browser for this phone? - The only one ive found is konqueror/embedded and it is a bit of a hassle to install (more so than usuall tux apps :D)
As for my opinion of the phone - heres what i think-
great phone for people that want security.
ALthough only vga cam - the demo shots from it always look decent enough. Video recording, playing.
What id really like to know is if i would be able to install other qtopia apps onto it (as far as i know it runs montavista linux embedded with the Qtopia phone edition interface - for those out of the know - qtopia was the ui for the sharp zaurus - the linux pda) and if so, then how? any real gurus out there?

re input by handwriting..
there is predictive text & also a user dictionary, so you can add in whatever u want to the dictionary.
tip: underscore for space, write on the alternate boxes for a faster interface.
chinese input is very good.

i just bought E680, i having a problem with transfering mtv clip to sd card. its shown error msg. i read through manual book saying usb cable is not compatibla with windows 2000 pack 1 & pack 2, but my notebook is windows xp.

hows the camera quality of this phone? the pictures taken how? sharp and clear?

You can run any J2ME application on the phone. I trid the Web-Browser WebView by Reqwireless, it works well.
If you want to test Java applications before deploying them, you can download the SDK 4.3 for J2ME from www.motocoder and simulate the e680.
I like the phone, apart from the short battery life.

hello people.. can anyone pls tell me is it difficult to sms using this phone ? is there a dictionary or do we need to input word for word everytime we sms using e680 ??

i need to know how to delete just one individual file from the file manager, everytime i try to delete a file it gives an only an option for delete all. can i just delete one file???

Saw somewhere that you can actually use the web browser on the E1000 and pump it into the E680. Can anyone confirm this? Went to Handango to try looking for a web browser for the Linux OS, but could not find an app suitable for this phone...Any idea if Motorola is developing a web browser for the E680?

hey is it hard to sms using this phone ? i try it before .. but all they do is offer u a keyboard like function.. is dere a conventional way to sms ??

MP3 quality on the headphones yield acceptable results. The only thing is that there is no equaliser to boost the audio quality. If you are thinking of playing MP3 thru its speakers, it is loud enough, but the surround quality cannot beat the E398. Still the E680's speakers does a fairly decent job of pumping out good quality audio with minimal distortions.

E680 has been in Thailand market for about a week. I'm using it. It's great except it hangs easily. I have to take the battery out and put back in again to reset. I think it should come with a better Web Browser such as Opera anything. I'm still having accessing my SSL or HTTPS site.

a great achievement on e680 by motorola with extrodinary features, like bluetooht conectivity,linux os, mp3 player, fm radio, Stereo speakers with 3d surround sound, etc, have made a cellphone into a private amusement. i live in jakarta, indonesia, can i get the e680 official price. please send to my e-mail. thank's before.

Hi can anyone tell me what software this phone uses to transfer data to and from a computer (eg nokia uses nokia PC Suite). I am about to order this phone but the cd rom software is in chinese. so just wondering if i can download the english software from the internet.
ALso can anyone tell me if the real player application on the phone will be in chinese??
