They removed the peek screen with the android 14 update, I hate it. It was a very nice feature, I liked how it handled notifications.

    In Android 14 I have no calling over 4G in the settings any more in Android 13 I did have this option

      Got Android 14 two days ago (region: Europe). Honestly visually or feature wise there is nothing new, except i see that you can now use camera flashlight for notifications (with Edge 30 NEO this wasnt a big issue already since it had LED notification available). But yes the phone has become even more fast.

      I think most of the change from A13 to A14 is under the hood and little to do with UI or UX.

          I am also downloading the A14 update😏. It is really a strange move by Motorola, usually they are quite slow and late in update game. I hope the update is stable and bug free.

            yes, A14 today! ... interestingly fast by Moto standards, or maybe it's just because of the Edge model?

                  I have been using it now for quite some time
                  I would say avoid because of the common freezing/crashing. Atleast once a week it would just freeze, it could be trying to unlock it and it just not turning on, or just randomly restarting while streaming youtube. Extremely annoying

                    error in the specs -- this is not a USB-3 phone

                                    The camera takes worse pictures than my old Huawei y5 (2019) Identical motive, overcast outside, not dark at all. Lens is clean. These phones should not even be comparable. Any ideas why?
                                    Taken with the main camera binned to 16 mpixel, photo mode, point shoot mode.

                                        I bought the 8/256 variant for 200€ in Italy and I am using it for about two weeks. My previous (still using) phone was Redmi Note 10 Pro.
                                        If you are looking for a light and compact phone, I don't think this phone has a competitor.

                                        • It runs buttery smooth
                                        • The display is beautiful and gets dim and bright enough
                                        • The sound quality is surprisingly well balanced with good level of bass
                                        • The cameras are good (compare to my Redmi Note 10 Pro). Although I didn't see a big difference between stock app and gcam ones.
                                        • The battery life is very good with really low standby usage, it charges very fast, and it also supports wireless charging
                                        • Its size and weight just feels right in your hand
                                        • The "Ready For" feature is simply amazing, and it connects without hassle over wireless to your PC. I didn’t try with TV since my TV has Chromecast feature and “Ready For” is not compatible with it.
