I would say that is the most annoying part of this phone. Other people have also had the issue of gestures suddenly stop working. I would have returned it if I didn't crack the screen.... and get something else

The best thing about this phone is the form factor, screen and fast charge. I have Samsung S22 at work and I dont like One UI, too many apps.

Android 13 is here, works nice. I like this. I prefer having updates with delay but at least they work properly...unlike other phones. I used to be a huge samsung fanboy but I think I will buy motorola for my next phone again.

Today Android 13 appeared on my Edge 30 Neo and the smartphone works great. The some new functions included too.

I have had this phone for about 3 weeks and I would say avoid it. Sure the screen is amazing so is the size, the battery is great and also the charging speed, but the user experience is pretty bad. Sometimes the gestures would just stop working, that includes using the fingerprint scanner without unlocking the phone first, its pretty annoying, a restart fixes it. Deezer would straight up crash/stop from time to time, I have had Bluetooth earbuds just stop, Bluetooth on/off would fix it. Phone has a real proximity sensor but it does NOTHING to prevent it from locking itself from too many attempts while in your pocket or junk dialing emergency services. I would have returned it if I didn't drop it a week in and the screen cracked, oh and also the volume buttons rattle. Plastic case and back means they get easily scratched and damaged. Coming from an A50 the Samsung UI had a lot more nice convenient features. I am currently upgrading to Android 13, will comeback with feedback if anything is fixed

The SD 695 has much better image processing than the SD 680 (which is no less that an recycled 665).
The Neo is no champion when it comes to photography, neither is any Motorola on the market, if you´re after camera perfomance Motorola is not the brand to look out for.
Still images and darker environments will be better thanks to the O.I.S present on the neo and faster shutter speeds.
So yes, if you can not only is better in camera but a much better phone overall. The G42 is a mid low range phone, for simple everyday usage, in long term it will lag more that the Neo.

Just bought this phone and it was stuck on January security update so was thinking to send it back because thats poor update frequency. However looked on lenovo forum used the Rescue tool on my PC and now I have May security patch! Of course it erases your data but a useful tip if you buy new and haven’t yet set up.

Most Motorola phones use Panda King (made by Tunghsu Optoelectronic) or NEG glass (made by Nippon Electric Glass).

Powerful enough for the majority of users. Very Pery looks gourgeous. I´m getting one for my wife
