The 12T Pro takes significantly better photos on the main camera that most people use the most, and costs less. The 12T Pro is the better choice, unless your spouse is dependant on wireless charging.

If you buy the phone for the camera, wait until they update the app (if they ever update the app). The phone can take amazing pictures but it also can take crappy ones. Colours can be off and some photos are of a lighter shade. The pro option camera set up needs improvement, raw pictures are not good does not take full advantage of the 200m

It would be silly to get this phone for that price when you can get a OnePlus 10T for nearly half the price! why bother???

Bought this phone recently in starlight color and it looks fabulous. Camera is super amazing but sometimes produces alot punchy colors. With software update it can be fixed. UI is super clean with no BS apps. Battery life is amazing. SOT of almost 8 and half hours on a single charge. Buttery smooth display and amazing stereo speakers. Coming from ROG Phone 5(which died after a year) this is one of the best flagship phone I have used. 200 MP camera is so damn amazing and selfie 60 mp camera is super Sharpe. I would highly recommend this phone to anyone with a budget upto 60k INR. 8+GEN1 processor is super efficient and does not heat up at all thanks to awesome cooling system.

I bought this phone a few days ago and I am happy so far.
I will list the pros and cons.

+ Software. Clean android with some nice features and gestures. Third party launchers works well and so does gesture navigation with those launchers. I like the Motorola clock/weather widget.
+ 125W USB Power Delivery charger.
                            + 50W wireless charging.
+ Dual stereo Dolby tuned speakers . The sound that is coming out from these speakers just sound so great.
+ The included case is nice (but a fingerprint magnet).
+ 12 GB ram (at least in EU and USA it seems to be the only option).
+ Anti flicker mode for those that are sensitive to PWM. I haven't felt the need to use it.
+ 144Hz Display. If you have the refresh rate set to auto in settings it can be laggy sometimes since the refresh rate drops.
+ Under display fingerprint reader is fast. Probably doesn't work if finger is wet.
                            + USB Type-C 3.1, USB On-The-Go, DisplayPort 1.4
                            + Ready for features. https://www.motorola.com/us/ready-for/p
+ Bootloader can be unlocked, root is possible, kernel will be open source so there is a possibility of custom roms if this phone becomes popular. But I really like the Software on the Motorola so I don't see much need for a custom rom.

                            - Curved screen. Will be pain in the ass to find a good screen protector for this phone, might skip that and buy a wallet case instead to protect the phone while outside.
                            - Budget display. POLED, FHD res only. I find the display ok, text is looking fine even tho its below 400 ppi.
                            - 200 mp camera is a gimmick but the pictures taken in daylight looks fine, haven't had time to test the camera more. There is also a Telephoto camera which is nice.

Battery time seems good. Haven't measured screen on time yet.
In my country Motorola is giving a "Lenovo Smart Clock 2 with Charging Station" with selected phones including Edge 30 Ultra but only until stock lats. Will see if I am lucky to get one. I was debating whether to get this one or Xiaomi 12T Pro and I picked Motorola even tho I am not fan of curved screens but I just think that Motorola is more interesting.

Xiaomi 12T Pro advantages: Flat screen, eSIM, better display with higher resolution, more likely to have custom roms.
Disadvantages: Software (MIUI is ugh), USB 2.0, worse camera setup.

Regarding support, although it is true that they have been improving that section, they are not yet up to the standards of others, such as Samsung, the same Google with the pixels and so on, this device has 3 years of guaranteed major updates and 4 years of security patches, however, announcing it is not the same as fully complying with it!!! Other than that, it's an excellent device.

                                  A few queries:

                                  - Does this device has AOD (Always On Display)
                                  - How often Motorola updates its high end devices? Once a month?
                                  - How soon they roll out new Android OS version?

I'm thinking of either this or 12T pro for my spouse.
