hi,i updated my phone to android 14
i am using in UAE since august 2023, my phone working perfect,since android 14 update,my phone got sim network issue,internet not working,sometime disconnecting, some time no sim signal showing,0 signals,i am fedup.anyone faced this issue ? i tried to reset the phone,same issue ,help

not quite sure to get the edge 30 ultra. a13 doesn't seem to be a friend of it.
so far i've read several camera issues and battery drain issues what are concerning, also seems like a14 there are some fixes but unsure cause not too many ppl have it yet.
The specs are really good but the service seems bad. Get a fusion instead?

I received the A14 update few days ago and so far it seems to be working flawlessly. It is buttery smooth and it seems more power efficient. Nothing looks broken. It seems that some font issues I happened to notice before are now fixed as well. NFC is working. Someone mentioned a lower Bluetooth volume and this is in fact my first impression, but it is nothing significant.

NFC (GooglePay) also working OK on Slovakia OTA, updated yesterday.

I received the Android 14 ota yesterday in Australia but I haven't installed it yet.
On XDA forums 2 people who have updated are commenting their NFC doesn't work any more.
Has anyone else had this problem? If so what country / region are you in?

This phone has started receiving Android 14 update in Latin America. Weights around 1.45 gb with January security patch. Still waiting on my Indian varient. I hope they don't screwup battery or camera quality.

Motorola Edge 30 Ultra does not have optical zoom. It only has 2x matrix zoom.

People, you MUST definitely use the optimized charging! Battery life increases A LOT. The phone ia great. Display is very durable. I dropped the phone on granite tiles and not even a slightest scratch.
Android 13 here.

I have been using it since last few days .overall t's a great phone and i like the display quality and the feedback u get while typing is buttery smooth .no lags .use 144 hz refresh rate and it works great .camera could have been better but considering the price point on Flipkart it's a sensible buy worth 40k for a 12 GB variant with gen 1 processor and think shield security also the gestures work perfectly fine.its just that this phone has high radiations so I would suggest to keep it away when not in use .

After 14 months of use, I can comprehensively assess that I have mixed feelings about this E30U.
After years with Huawei / Honor, and one attempt with OnePlus, I tried this one.
So:
Pluses:
Display: Is really great, even despite the resolution.
Stereo speakers: For me, they are great, specially for movies.
System: System is overall good, but not excellent.
Charging and battery: Really fast charging, and battery life still not so bad. Wireless is really addictive.
Minuses:
Camera: For realising price, this is the biggest disappointment. The camera is not consistent, you can't rely on it. Focus works still worse and worse. Portrait mode is one of the worst, i ever tried from years about 2017 and up. Sometimes I try to compete it with my old OnePlus 9 (non PRO) and Motorola is often hardly defeated. Ok at night is better like OP 9, but daylight photos are overall better on OP 9. Sometimes even my lovely older Huawei P30 (non PRO) makes little better results. Has to be software problem, hardware is enough here to win those matches easily.
System: Bugs, and nothing changed from release, still are there - same bugs. At this time, I have even some issues with 5G signal. Sometimes I lose even 4G signal.
Display: Personally, I really miss classic Always on Display, here is nothing like this. Display should be waked, just by move of the phone, or knock on display.
So, starting price was here over 800 eur, for this price i just get here score 6/10.
At this moment should be purchase in some sale for around 500 eur, and this is the price which those minuses should be more acceptable.
I will try X 13T PRO, or OP12, or Honor Magic5 PRO later in a few months.

Since AD14 is already seeding to all companies, Motorola will update this phone when AD 15 will be out. Worst software update policy by the company.

Still facing camera focus hunting during videos at 4k 60 fps. Call quality is excellent and battery lasts an entire day with SOT of 7 to 8 hrs of medium useage.
