Mahesh Poojary, 17 Feb 2024To Reduce Battery Consumption ========================== ... moreU will face battery draining issue for the most part...and with edge 40 first of all u get only 4400mAh battery capacity very less than 40 neo(5000mAh) so it will gets drain more quickly also u guys don't know how to uninstall system app who runs continously in the background u guys don't wana root ur device for the warrenty u could have easily restricted those all system apps by hybernating(greenify for rooted devices) then uninstall them with adb drivers installing them in ur device via method with or without pc for long battery life

To Reduce Battery Consumption

* Uninstall unwanted third-part applications
* Make all remaining applications to be restricted (App-->AppInfo-->App Battery Usage-->Try to make it as restricted). Some of the system apps, cannot make it as restricted, that is OK.
Then see the magic. If it does not work out, then need to contact Customer Care.
Note: As mobile is very slim, it does not have enough space to fan to cool mobile. Due to this, during video call and charging, mobile temperature goes up to 43C. This is common.

Really love the red colour on this device, and have been really tempted to get one but the slow updates really put me off. Come on Motorola step up your update schedule!!

But in new Android 14 new my UX Moto Edge 40 it's possible to lose Peek Display Features .
Very useful features.
Moto Edge 40 have new UX with Android 13 and don't have this function in meniu just Edge light
Very bad to lose a good features!

Does anyone have a problem with screen burn or image retention with this phone , because I've seen a lot of people with only a few weeks old ones having shadow of apps and notifications symbol temporarily on there screen and when I went into currys both the motorola edge 40 and motorola g84 already had quite bad screen burn when no other phone in there shop did.

Don, 12 Feb 2024Is this a good phone for 22k ? I'm getting at this pri... moreYes is Ok Moto Edge 40 first Model with MediaTek Dimensity 8020 but I wish to have Qualcomm instead MediaTek Qualcomm 7 gen 2 perfect Processor. I don't so very exciting by MediaTek !
It's good for Gaming but very slow to software updates not received yet Android 14 !
This phone have 4 years to Update Software from May 2023 to May 2027. 2 Android Major update 14 and 15. And bimonthly Security Update!

Company provided moto edge 40 back camera 50+13 and front camera 32mp but i install phone information app app showing back camera 12.6 MP
And selfie camera 8 MP
Its right or wrong ?

Hi to all ! Because Google Play Services it's stuck to 1 November 2023 and another phone it's stuck to 1 July 2023 and the phone don't see de update I'm serch to internet and I'm update manually the phone from APK Mirror with last version.
I'm downloading Main Components last version and now I have Google Play Services update to 1 January 2024 Security Patch 1 January ! I don't know the phone don't see the update!I try everything inclusive factory reset Now everything it's Ok!

Outstanding device, great balance of features.. I'm not "fan" of cameras so don't care about that at all.. Audio powered with Dolby Atmos(bt or wired 😇) + gorgeous, responsive, durable display(no gorilla glass but really I don't experience even slightest scratches, so far) + awesome ergonomic, caring it without case and back is not slippery, love that after 10+ years of using protection on devices.. sure, updates should be faster but all positive aspects make me enjoy using edge 40 even a14 comes in the ending of first quarter of year

Maybe ... moreThanx for suggestions, I have 2 identical new phones from different providers and networks and have same problem.
I bought it few days ago (one for me and one for my girlfriend) and don`t have time to factory reset after few days of settings :)
Also I`ve never seen any Edge 40 that edge light works as it should. A lot of people complaining about that issue. Light works only during call and shut off after call ends.
I will try to find som application like "Edge Notification - Always On"

Security 1.November 2023.
The no... more Something it's not Ok with your Moto Edge 40.
Maybe you need to try a factory reset or a Hard Reset.
And Create a new Google Account.
Security Update it's 1 November 2023 not 1 January 2024 an Google Play Services 1 July 2023 and not 1 November 2023.
And Me have this problem with another phone Moto G32 after factory Reset Google Play Services it's Stuck to 1 July 2023 but Security Patch Update received it's 1 January 2024.
I don't know it's your decision!

Security 1.November 2023.
The notification works only at the moment of receiving a call or message and then turns off.
If I am not in the room when I come back, there is no notification because it stopped after a few seconds.
