Bough since 3 Months. First issue was esim. Was unable to delete or add new esim. got very little support.
Now the Proximity sensor is not working. did all suggested remedies such as removing back cover, removed screen protector, reset the devise.. no use. a search in web shows mine is not an isolated issue.
Seem very bad quality control before throwing the devises in market.

    Is there good service centre of moto if needed?

      I brought this phone two weeks before. Everything is good about this phone till now. But a issue I am facing that the display touchscreen gets irresponsive sometime. The touch does not work till I restart the phone. Did anyone face this issue. Let me know if there is a remedy, please.

            What a beautifully elegant looking phone with balanced specs, at 6.55 inches, the screen is’nt too large nor small, just about right. A pity it uses an older chip and could have utilized Dimensity 8100 or even 8200, and the fact that it only supports up to 2 major OS updates.

But would like to reiterate that it is def not HOT, it just gets warm due to the form factor.

                  What slow-mo options does this phone have?
                  I'm thinking on switching from Xperia XZ2 - it can record 0.18s in 960 fps or 120 fps continuously. What is Edge 40 capable of? (nobody mentions this in detail :( )

                        Terrible news for me.. and maybe others.
                        Started to notice image retention after displaying bright content for less than a minute.
                        Steps to reproduce:
                        1. Manual max brightness, not auto.
                        2. Open wallpaper settings, go to solid colors, let it display palette for 30 seconds.
                        3. Switch to grey background to see palette squares burned in.

                        This is not permanent, but after watching a 20 min video on youtube with a statick preview in the bottom of the screen this effect lasted for long time, more than 20 minutes.
                        Looks like something is definitely not OK

                          Got this phone since yesterday. Very nice device, but 2 important problems:
                          1 handsfree via BT (standard built in carkit Toyota Prius 2016) does not work. Phone stays on phone mic and speaker. Very strange
                          2 wireless payment is buggy. Payed 3 times and all 3 times it did work very bad or even not at all

                          These are dealbreakers for me.
                          Does any other owner have these issues too?

                              A person, 15 Sep 2023I am thinking of buying this phone so i have few questions ... moreanswering your questions

                              1- is the display better than midrange AMOLED displays?
                              YES! Display is fantastic compared to other midrange ones, colours are vibrant and doesnt look washed out

                              2- since the phone is thin but has metal built around it does the phone bind or brake easily?
                              The phone is durable, have been using it for 3 months now, and it is sturdy. But Display is not corning gorilla protected, so u might want to be careful with that.

                              3- since the phone been released a year ago does still run smoothly?
                              The phone was launched 5 months ago, and the processor is almost an equivalent of Snapdragon 888 processor, the phone is snappy, and Motorola has promised 2 versions of Android update, on papers it should receive Android 15

                                    So my g82 unfortunately got damaged due to fall and i am considering replacing it with Edge 40 in case the display repair cost doesnt make sense. Can someone shed light on whether Mediatek Dimensity is in any way inferior to Snapdragon chipset when it comes mainly to non gaming day to day usage (navigation, texting, browsing) etc.?
