Security 1.November 2023.
The notification works only at the moment of receiving a call or message and then turns off.
If I am not in the room when I come back, there is no notification because it stopped after a few seconds.

Does anyone have problems with "Edge lighting"?
Setting in the following way
ON:
- Incoming calls
- Alarms
- Applications
- Lights up at full strength when the screen is down
OFF:
Only displayed when the screen is facing down
- It is turned off for a certain period
When there is a call, messages ... the screen turns on, "Lights on the edge" turn on for a few seconds and disappear. So after that there is no visual information that a message has arrived or a call has been missed?

Hi ! Anyone received Security Patch Update 1 January from Edge 40 ? Last patch 1 November for the moment!!
G32 Receive from two 2 days ago new security patch 1 January but I have another problems! I can't update Google Play Services after factory reset it's stuck on 1 July 2023 and I can't update I try everything!! And this moment Google Play Services it's 1 January! Thank you very much for all!

* While charging my mobile also goes to 43C. When I checked in google, this temperature is OK. Initially, it heats up more, but day by day it becomes normal. This is due to mobile is slim and fast charging. When I charge mobile in 33W Charger, no heating issue.
* After removing third-party apps, my mobile, now gives still 100% battery for 8 hours idle time. Before that, to confirm, I tested mobile in Safe Mode (In Safe Mode, no third party apps will run).
* Mobile is very very good.

In specification, Motorola Edge 40 does not have a dual LED flash, but one LED flash and the other has an ambient light sensor.

I called customer care and they asked me to do below.
First test battery consumption by Safe Mode:
In Safe Mode, all third party application will be disabled. So, can be confirmed whether third-party application consumes battery. Do below configuration first.
PlayStore --> click on our Profile Account Icon (Top Right Corner)--> Manage apps and devices --> Update All Apps.
Settings --> Battery --> Adaptive Battery --> Enable “Use Adaptive Battery”
Display --> Brightness Level: 0
Display --> Display Refresh Rate --> 60z
Settings --> Power Button --> hold on power button --> Safe Mode --> Ok
Need to disable Aeroplane Mode to receive and making calls in Safe Mode.
Charge mobile to 100% and keep it idle for 1 or 6 hours and check battery usage. It should show at least 0.5% consumption per hour in idle time.
After checking battery usage in idle time, find out all unwanted third party applications in Safe Mode.
Restrict all background running process including BoatWave app. Settings --> All Apps --> click app --> App Battery Usage --> Restrict. Can also able to see background apps near Settings and Power icon.
Remove unwanted third party applications and
Check battery usage in normal mode now. If still has same issue, remove other third party applications and check. Otherwise call motorola customer care.
Screen-On-Time:
Settings --> Digital Wellbeing and parental controls:
Shows which apps consumes more screen.

No distractions at night and had a good sleep, battery back up also stayed long. Also, try charging your battery just before you sleep. Cheers

Even no Gorilla glass protection we all use some screen protector so not a bih issue.
Optimeze battery and no problem.

Motorola has nailed the competition with Edge 40, One of the perfect smartphone of 2023.
I would go with Moto as it balanced every aspects of a perfect smartphone with great end user experience.(samsung S21 Fe is a great device though).
Eventhough motorola release updates a bit slow, they are bugs free and pretty reliable.

I am requesting everyone who is facing battery problem:
Install app Battery Guru or Battery Alarm, there you can see correct battery current capacity after 100% of charge. For me it shows around 2500mah. I didnot expect this from moto/lenovo. I messaged to service center, they did not respond.

Initially heating issue is more and day by day it is coming normal.
Battery: battery life is pathetic. My 8 hours of sleep it consumes 40% of battery in idle time.
When I installed some apps like Battery Alarm and Battery Guru app it shows after 100% of charge it shows current battery capacity is around 2500mah. I have checked my old m42, it shows it correct battery capacity in that app. This shows, moto/lenovo cheated us.

When getting any call that's same time my phone network automatically down from 5g to g , that's why watsapp msg also not received or upload.
If anyone face this problem please give any suggestions how to fix this.
